I. ROLE PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE

1) Provide services in relation to the digital documentation/legal aspects of the software/mobile app/website/digital business etc.

2) To support the business in closing the agreements and legal documents.

3) To advice on all legal issues within shortest timelines.

4) Ensure quality of legal work and deliverables

II. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

1. Provide legal advisory in digital documentation.

2. Drafting, vetting and negotiation of business agreements and legal documents including related to digital lending, digital loans, digital banking products etc.

3. Thorough understanding of the RBI regulations.

4. Sharing the RBI and other legal/regulatory authority updates with the concerned stakeholders from time to time.

5. Drafting and vetting various policies and process of the Bank.

6. Creating standard formats of agreements and legal documents.

7. Providing legal advisory on various issues.

8. Review of standard agreement drafts and suggesting changes of any.

9. Meeting with internal and external stakeholders, understand the requirements and accordingly suggest changes etc.

10. Litigation Management.

11. Ensuring that the agreement terms and conditions are as per laws and regulations.

12. Ensure that all regulatory clauses are covered in the agreements.

13. Legal research on various topics for advisory.

14. Collaboration with external lawyers for agreements and other legal work.

15. Ensure that that the agreement language is legally binding.

16. Point out legal and business risk to the business.

17. Other work as assigned from time to time.

18. Understanding of code of conduct, disciplinary actions and its implications.

19. Expert in legal research.

20. Expert in dealing with higher authorities.

21. Legal risk identification and policy implementation.

22. Build good relationships with law firms and advocates for the legal work.

Educational Qualifications - LLB/LLM

Total Experience - 6 to 10 years

Functional Skills - Agreement drafting, negotiations, litigation management, legal advisory, digital products/services.

Behavioral Skills - Calm, Composed, Level headed, risk taking ability, ready to manage the projects independently, eye for details, business understanding, ready to work under pressure and on tight deadlines.
