Job Description :

Primary responsibilities :

- Strong Core JAVA Programming (Viz.: Core Java, J2ee, Spring, Hibernate, Web Services (SOAP / Restful))

- Experience with Application Architecture and design & UML Modelling

- Participate in the conceptual phases of identifying and solving business problems and initiatives

- Ability to translate Business Requirements into Architectural Design

- Familiar with Software Architecture Concepts

- Familiar with Architecting enterprise grade application for High Performance

- Familiar with different Architectural Views (Viz.: Integration, Data, Security, Deployment)

- Familiar with Optum architectural strategy towards various business practices

- Strong Data Structures & Algorithm

- Experience with Application Security

- Experience with Data modelling of complex systems.

- Experience in designing database schemas using databases like MySQL and Oracle.

- Experience with DevOps (Viz.: OpenShift, CloudFoundry, Azure PaaS, and the orchestration components used to integrate developed solutions.)

- Exposed to automation of solution development and deployment with orchestration products such as Puppet, Ansible, Chef, or other DevOps tools

- Very good understanding of Design methodologies across multiple platforms (e.g. OOP, TDD and agile development models)

- Web development expertise (JavaScript, HTML5, HTML, CSS, JQuery, CSS3)

- Solid understanding of distributed architecture, SOA and micro services

- Work with other architects to maintain overall technology portfolio with supporting standards and guidelines

- Perform product analysis and development tasks of increasingly complex nature which may require extensive research and analysis

- Apply innovation, creativity and improvement to development process and implement process and procedural improvements

- Current hands-on experience with implementation of large strategic platform using java and similar technologies

- Work on multiple projects utilizing and leading global/offshore teams

Desired Skills :

- 12 to 15 years of relevant Industry experience.

- Prior experience of healthcare domain(especially Claims, Payers and Member and plan eligibility) will be an advantage

- Development and implementation of best practices and use of industry proven standards and methodologies

- Support pre-sales in proposal creation. The candidate should own architecture piece during the whole process.

- Supporting Existing application and provide best possible solution to Client errors

- Helping junior team members in understanding and writing a quality code, conducting code reviews with developers, code refactoring

- Managing, mentoring and providing technical guidance/ support to project teams

- Good communication and presentation skills

- Problem solving skills with the ability to think laterally, and to think with a medium term and long term perspective

- Knowledge about open-source technologies and integration with them

- Development and implementation of best practices and use of industry proven standards and methodologies

- Experience working with agile software development methodology

- Great initiative; proven ability to tackle projects with a can do attitude

- Proven experience in operating within a global environment

- Comfortable with working in a complex matrix environment

- BPM understanding is an advantage
