Job Description/Job Summary :

- Transition Management is one of the most important and key functions of the UnitedHealth Group companies. A Senior Transition Manager, hereinafter referred to as a STM, is responsible to deliver all Transition Projects and Programs in line with recognized best practice methodology (managing risk, governance, quality assurance, issue resolution, reporting)In the process of transitions, the STM will be engaged right from the time of Solution Identification and take to program/project forward till the project/program is well established at the offshore location and is able to deliver results as expected.

- These transition projects/programs will be organizationally complex, carry a high degree of risk from start through to in life or business as usual service and require extensive Project experience and commercial understanding. In essence, the STM will be responsible for end-to-end planning and management of Solution Identification, Setup (including infra/technology & human resourcing), Knowledge Transfer and Deployment or Pilot to steady state.

Key Roles and Responsibilities :

Although the scope and focus of the day to day activities within the role may change dependent on business requirements, the following should be considered the core accountable activities :

- Be responsible for Transitions for multiple portfolios / Manage large Program

- Work closely with the Solutioning Team to take a detailed handover of the project to be transitioned

- Develop detailed project plans, staffing models and risk assessment matrices

- Create comprehensive communication plans & escalation matriceso

- Establish a framework to ensure all escalations are addressed timelyo

- Create a mechanism to call out Red Flags that may impact the project/program delivery

- Monitor the program/project ensuring issues are resolved in a timely manner and the appropriate corrective actions are implemented

- Create a cadence for daily/weekly/monthly update meetings with all key stake holders

- Undertake fact based decisions as required after thorough analysis of the situation

- Follow up regularly with the team to take feedback and check on the progress

- Manage engagement specific escalations

- Craft an effective Contingency Plan

- Ensure services are delivered within time and budget constraints and meet the required level of quality

- Review the outcomes of the Transition Projects to determine any corrective actions that could be taken to improve future delivery in terms of cost, quality and customer satisfaction

- Demonstrate strong judgment, analyze complex situations by breaking them into their constituent parts

- Be innovative to fine tune Transition process.

- Drives the project keeping time, cost, quality and all other critical factors into consideration

- Be involved in strategic enterprise level initiatives

Qualification/Knowledge / Skills / Experience required :

- Bachelor Degree / MBA

- Overall 9-12 years of work experience in a BPO environment with minimum 3-5 years of exposure in project management & in tracking, planning projects, making data-driven analytical decisions and delivering the same to Business as Usual

- Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint

- Experience of having worked with other tools like WebEx/SharePoint etc

- Strong leadership and motivational skills with proven ability to develop/maintain positive client relationships and monitor client satisfaction

- Developed communication and diplomacy skills with a strong ability to persuade and influence client and stakeholder relationships

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written English.

- Flexible about work content, timings and location.

- Demonstrable experience and capability to manage multiple transition projects in parallel and autonomously

Knowledge / Skills / Experience preferred :

- Experience in managing Transition Programs with multiple projects embedded within one large program

- PMP Certification - Trained on Project Management principles

- Industry knowledge about in transition with various business models like Inshoring, Nearshoring, Rebadging,Repatriation etc would be of benefit

- US Healthcare Industry experience, Expert level of proficiency with MS Project, Visio etc
