Job Description :

- The Finance Director is responsible for various financial functions including business analytics, annual planning and quarterly forecasting, metrics reporting and ad-hoc analysis.

- This person will also create in-depth financial models and analysis of company financial and operational metrics to evaluate and influence numerous aspects of the company's business performance.

The person in this position will have broad responsibilities, including Generating annual financial plans and quarterly forecasts for individual Medicaid programs Membership analysis and impact on revenue payments and medical trend

Monthly analysis of medical expense results, premium yields, identifying trends, variances and potential performance opportunities and/or concerns at the market level

Providing finance support around existing contract reviews and new business opportunities

Partner with Field-based leaders to understand and control operating expenses

Workforce productivity reviews and developing annual / quarterly FTE plans/forecasts Lead development of business/financial case for specific initiatives or capital investments

Proactively seek opportunities to improve processes and identify areas of improvement

Participate in a wide variety of special projects and evaluate new business opportunities .

Chartered Accountant (CA) is a must

Role & Responsibilities :

- This position is responsible to build & develop a high performing and sustainable model of regulatory financial reporting process based out of Noida location. The individual will manage initially a team of 8-10 FTE's and shall collaborate with both onshore business partners and offshore leadership in growing the offshore foot print significantly.

This will be a hands on role with a combination of key financial reviews and leadership oversight of the team. The role will be both challenging and enriching considering the complexity around health insurance reporting nuances, year end deadlines, operating in a heavily regulated environment.

Job Components :

People Management :

- Strategize in recruiting, training and evaluating staff

- Build deep domain expertise in the team with focus on creating a sustainable model offshore

- Encourage and motivate team members including developing and maintaining skill sets and behaviours and managing personal development goals.

- Provide Human Capital (HR) coaching and management to managers and their direct staff

Review & Technical Role :

- Oversee and review of Statutory financial statements with multiple staff and managers

- Review & approve material stat adjustments during quarter close & year end

- Coordinate the external and internal audits of the regulated entities, and work closely with the department that oversees the Department of Insurance inquiries and examinations

- Plan, coordinate and manage the work of team/preparer. Monitor compliance with key controls, department policies, and the standard accounting, reporting practices & procedures

- Lead initiatives on working groups to develop and implement innovative approaches for continued improvement in efficiency & effectiveness

- Take overall responsibility for continuous improvement across the (reporting process), technology, reporting and controls landscape

- Liaison with finance department, operations and external independent auditor

- Coordinates, directs, plans and executes the financial reporting component of the external audit

Strategy :

- Partner with onshore & offshore leadership in creating and evolving a best in class operating model that meets departments goals & objectives

Transition:

- Effectively plan and ensure seamless transition of reporting processes- Build and operationize dashboard and metrics to report offshore team performance and improve the process overtime.

Stakeholder Management :

- Build robust governance process at various operating levels & maintain strong working relationship with onshore business partners

Required Skills :

- Strong and extensive knowledge of Financial Reporting and US GAAP with overall 12+ Years of experience- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

- Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism.- Extensive experience in offshoring and managing a high end reporting process

- Ability to stay knowledgeable about, research and reach well-reasoned conclusions on technical accounting issues.- SOX and internal controls experience.

- Ability to multitask and prioritize diverse tasks.

- Excellent project managerial and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects required.

- Leadership experience in organizing, planning and executing projects from conceptualization through implementation across multiple internal and external reporting and organizational lines.- Strategic thinking and leadership experience with an emphasis on relationship management and communication at all levels within an organization.

- Facilitate and coordinate multiple deadlines, create cohesive teams, and respond quickly to management requests.- Proven ability to perform under pressure and stress and to adjust plans to meet changing needs and requirements.

- Experience with financial and accounting reporting systems.

Good to have Skills/Experience :

- Prior experience in insurance stat/Gaap financial reporting

- Understanding of US Healthcare system- Experience with People Soft and Essbase a plus- Big 4 experience with ownership in managing end to end audits

Work Hours : Non Peak/Non Quarter close - 2:30 - 12 AM IST ; During Peak time/Annual filing - 5:30 - 3 AM

Qualification :

- Bachelor degree in business Finance or Accounting. -5+ years progressive financial planning and analysis experience -5+ years of supervisory experience

- Strong analytic background, attention to details

- Excellent communication and organization skills
