Unit Manager - Production - Plant

- Planning, Organizing, directing and running optimum day to day operations

- Increasing production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.

- Responsibility for production output, production quality and on-time shipping

- Effectively lead, coach and develop a large work team to accomplish operational objectives.

- Maximize effectiveness of production team, equipment and materials to produce multi-line products within planned schedules while reducing costs.

- Coordinating with the cross functional team to meet the production timelines.

- Controlling production cost by process optimisation through six Sigma tools like DMAIC, KAIZEN, 5S, 7 -QC Tools.

- Root cause analysis for performance bottlenecks by DMAIC method and statistical tools.

- Implementation of ISO standards in chemical industries with respect to QMS, EMS & OHSAS.

- Adoption of commercial Procedures as per GFR rule & CVC guidelines.

- Expertise in working with SAP application in PP, MM, SD, PM & QM Modules.

- Adequate knowledge in working with MS Office.

- Recruitment, Training, performance evaluation of work force for optimum utilisation of human resources.

- Negotiation with worker Union wrt industrial disputes, handling HR & IR issues in PSU working environment.

- Supervising all supportive functions like Production, purchase, stores, Sales, Quality Assurance, Engineering, HR, Finance.

- Interaction with supplier & assisting them for timely deliveries, and ensuring quality of products.

- Minimizing performance bottlenecks for high productivity with maximization of men, material, and machine resources.

- Maintaining inventory for smooth functioning of production as per production plan as well market demand.

- Ensured Techno-economic viability study of Plant Modification/ Capital Projects, involving cost estimation, process calculation, and payback period calculation.

- Evaluation of plant performance for operational efficiency (both machine and manpower) and energy consumption.

- Liasoning with statutory authorities like State Pollution Control Board, Factory Directorate, Labour Department, District Administration, and all other Departments related to plant operation.

- Preparation of the MIS of the Factory and presentation of the same to the corporate office as well as administrative ministry.

- Imparting training to employees for overall development of skill, improvement in productivity, providing materials to farmer with better quality.
