Education Essential : Education to degree level in a relevant Engg. / Mfg. discipline B.E. (Mech) /B.Tech (Polymers). May also consider Diploma (Plastic Tech) with relevant experience.
Strategy and Operations :
- Overall responsibility for Manufacturing activities. Ensure that manufacturing strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs
- Work upon improving the profitability of the unit, cost saving projects
- Ensure productivity of unit as per target and work for improving productivity from existing levels.
- Acquire knowledge of all products and process manufactured in plant and work for improvisation of existing process wherever possible.
- Work upon implementation on best practices of manufacturing by introducing the culture of working within the framework of TPM, TQM, Kaizens in the organization.
Financial and Budget Management :
- Overall understanding of techno commercial advantage / implications on manufacturing organization
- In-house project execution and monitoring of all expenses within approved Budget.
- Continuous improvement for cost reduction in manufacturing expenses product wise by suggesting plant modification, best manufacturing practices / first pass yield / compounding etc.
- Manufacturing Budget preparation based on sales projection and monitoring.
General and Task Management :
- Keep continuous focus on 4M and upgrade.
- Maintain minimum inventory levels of all RM in stock and by ensuring appropriate space management within the storage and manufacturing area.
- Monitor use of usable and non-usable scrap Liquidation.
- Maintain all equipment's / machines in healthy & productive conditions and control various Maintenance expense as per approved Budget with help of Maintenance team.
- Ensure that safety norms are followed in manufacturing activities without any compromise.
- Maintain quality of the product within declared norms. Constant review and adherence of all systems and manual. Ensure ISO certification and audit thereof.
- Effective implementation of SAP manufacturing module in every part of operational activities and ensure real time operations. Constant review on data accuracy in system.
- Close monitoring of new product developments and business generated from new products range.
- Adherence of Statutory & Legal Compliances. Timely address the IR issues
People Management :
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
- Coordinate with HR department on preparation of Skill Matrix and competency mapping of Team in Plant.
- Monthly review of JD/KRA of direct reportees and Quarterly review of PMS.
- Tracking of all important projects of the unit and provide timely feedback.
- Develop a culture to ensure consistent excellence in customer service.
