Unit Head - Jute Industry

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to assume the role of Head of a Jute Manufacturing Unit. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in modernizing manufacturing processes, fostering innovation, and driving efficiency in production. In addition to overseeing day-to-day operations, this individual will play a pivotal role in advancing research related to jute seed improvement and exploring new markets and alternative products.

Responsibilities:

Modernize Manufacturing Processes:

- Lead efforts to modernize manufacturing processes for increased efficiency and productivity.

- Implement best practices to optimize production workflows.

Innovation and Research:

- Drive innovation within the manufacturing team, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement.

- Spearhead research initiatives focused on jute seed improvement to enhance crop yield.

Market Expansion:

- Identify and explore new markets for jute products, both domestically and internationally.

- Develop strategies to diversify product offerings and explore alternative uses for jute.

Financial Management:

- Exercise strong financial acumen to ensure cost-effective operations and maximize profitability.

- Implement budgetary controls and cost-saving measures.

Team Leadership:

- Provide visionary leadership to the manufacturing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

- Develop and mentor team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.

Regulatory Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standards.

- Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Jute Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

Experience:

- Proven track record in a leadership role within the jute manufacturing industry.

- Experience in implementing modernization initiatives and driving operational efficiency.

Research Skills:

- Strong background in agricultural research, particularly in jute seed improvement and crop yield enhancement.

Market Development:

- Demonstrated ability to identify and capitalize on new market opportunities.

- Experience in diversifying product lines and exploring alternative applications for jute.

Financial Acumen:

- Sound financial management skills with the ability to control costs and drive profitability.
