We are looking to Hire a CA as Head Finance & Commercial for a Client which is into Manufacturing,

Job Overview :

Review & direction for sustainable development for overall IU, GU & BT's performance.

Strategy and Planning :

- Part of development of strategy at the unit Level and to plan the actions for sustainable growth of the IU, GU & BT.

- As part of Senior Management review & provide input for development through monthly MPR, WCM Steering Committee, Safety Apex Committee, Capex progress review.

- As a Whistle Blower for the IU, GU, BT to ensure values system is in place. Conduct regular review meeting with Senior Management to guide for strengthen value system at units.

- Act as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the Unit and ensure IT Security compliances in the Unit.

- Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) identification, mitigation plan and regular review with Senior Management.

- Participate in land procurement, proper documentation and ensure physical verification.

- Control & review of associated services such as School, Hospital, CSR activities, Trust to ensure proper fund management.

- Participate in sharing & review of Unit's performance with the workmen, staff, customers periodically and daily with the Senior Management.

- Medium term : Develop sourcing plan for the IU, GU & BT with optimum cost management in the short term.

- Long term : Tie-up for sustainable sourcing and alternate materials/source to conserve limestone mines life and have cost effective sourcing of material & services.

- Capex Planning : Evaluate and recommend capital expenditure proposal ensuring consistency with strategic business direction of the business.

Cost Optimization and Planning & Budgeting :

- Identify & monitor Key Value Drivers to optimize variable & fixed costs, Benchmarking with group units & industry peers, Identify logistics integration opportunities for IU, GU & BT.

- Check & review annual budget for the Unit and regular monitoring of MIS & KPIs.

- Adopting good practices of other industries and business through benchmarking at different KPIs.

- Daily/weekly/monthly monitoring of Key Value Drivers and cost parameters to highlight deviations.

- Review of Unit's performance with respect to budget, last month, last year and with other Group Units at different operating parameters and develop action plan for improvement in the area of adverse deviations.

- Interaction with group units/ cluster units for collecting their cost data.

- Review of actual performance with respect to capex proposals to achieve performance as per the agreed terms.

- Financial and Working Capital Management - Ensure financial discipline in accordance with SOPs & DOP, Effective inventory control & fund management to optimize working capital.

- Setting up targets for stock levels of raw-materials, fuel, stores & spares inventory.

- Review of working capital to optimize fund management.

- Monitoring of inventory levels and guide the team for material planning to maintain stock levels without blocking of funds.

- Ensuring co-ordination with CFD for optimizing fund management.

- Guide the finance team for release of payment to the vendors & service providers to optimize Unit's cash flow.

- Review/monitoring of advances/ deposits and ensuring timely adjustments/ recoveries.

- Review of final accounts for audit.

- Review & improvement in various internal control systems/procedures w.r.t. SOPs & DOPs.

- Adequate risk coverage for men, machinery & material.

- Review of incidence and recovery of adequate insurance claims.

Materials Management :

For effective and efficient operation of plants:

a) Planning of requirement, coordinating & organizing for procurement of raw materials (only corrective materials), stores & spares having value < 12 lakhs per PR and service contract / capex having value upto 2 cr.(As per delegation manual)

b) Coordinate with central procurement cell for the material in their scope including fuel, imported materials, imported raw materials, red mud etc

- Finalization and implementation of procurement (requirement) plan for fuels, raw materials & additives. (small corrective materials) as per the unit's requirement.

- Negotiation and finalization of critical spares & services following SOPs & DOPs.

- Regular monitoring of all procurement costs & guide the commercial team for timely procurement with quality.

- Identifying and tying up long term sources for various materials (only for corrective materials)

- Development & Review of alternate sources of materials/ alternate materials in coordination with technical team for the material in the scope of Unit.

- Review of materials department's activities to ensure delivery of materials & services in right quantity, cost, within required time.

- Interaction with vendors for improvement of quality, cost, delivery and other fronts.

- Vendor performance monitoring & evaluation and feedback to CPC.

- Ensure Compliance to PO terms, delegation manual, timely processing of GRNs, & systems initiatives that are implemented by corporate office.

Audit and Legal Compliance:

- Co-ordinate with internal or external auditor and government agencies for getting approvals, clearances and statutory compliances.

- Review & monitor timely submission of returns/ payment of duties, taxes, statutory dues etc.

- Co-ordinating with different government agencies for timely approvals/ clearances.

- Co-ordinate with Advocates for legal cases and for securing company's liabilities.

- Co-ordinate with Corporate Legal Cell for advice/guidance in the matter of legal interpretations.

- Ensure adherence to statutory compliances related to all commercial transactions and monitor compliances in other functions.

- Guide & provide training to the team members to adopt change requirements in taxation matters.

- Take lead in logical conclusion to the disputed matters related to all the taxation matters.

- Liaison with Government authorities for licenses, clearances, assessment and other compliances.

People Management & Development:

- To build & sustain a conductive work culture within department to improve productivity, growth & improvements in department performance for overall objective of unit along with motivating employees to institutionalize for bring innovation, creativity, best practices to replicate in the Unit by effective management of people for development of them.

- Guiding team of SMART and differentiating Goals Setting aligning with Unit and Business targets, time to time review performance and giving or seeking quality real time constructive feedback on performance appraisal and other areas. Rewards and recognition without any biasness.

- Developing Team for multiskilling for next role through the 70:20:10 Model for Learning and Development.

- Having regular communication that count with maintains transparency for top to down communication (mentoring, coaching, counselling, recognition etc.).

- Developing interpersonal skills, maintain discipline, adhering ABG Values and systems, handling and resolving grievances and good rapport building with other colleagues within function or cross function.

- Encouraging them for taking lead in Unit, Business or Group level projects and contribute for growth.

- To identification of common training needs of team for building competency for current and future requirement of organization.

- Ensuring Job rotation inter & intra-departmental for all-round development of team members.

- Optimisation of manpower by giving opportunity of Job Rotation, Enriching & Enlargement of Jobs time to time along with recommending for internal or external training for skill behavioural/productivity improvement.

- Empowering team to function independently, boost & maintain employees moral and motivation through employee wellness and wellbeing initiatives within department and having participative culture.

- Prepare action plan based on Team Vibes Results direct reportee or rollout reportees to enhance engagement level of team.

- Identifying successor for next role & groom team members in this direction.

- Compliance, System improvement and SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) along with Sustainability initiatives, WCM (ABOF), IMS or other systems etc. in all the section.

- Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Delegation of Authority (DOA).

- Ensuring 100% implementation of all applicable safety standards in department with target of zero injury and no hazard to men, machinery, environment and health of employee deployed in respective department.

- Implementation, adherence of Progressive Consequence Management and taking needful action.

- Effective contribution in respective safety subcommittee, be visible felt leader and sharing views in apex safety meeting for building and inculcating strong culture of safety.

- Ensuring self and team timely conduct CFSA or SO, reporting of any incident or accident along with taking analysis and corrective actions in respective systems. Completion of all Incident Investigation within timeline.

- To create awareness on well-being and environment aspect for sustainable among team and self.

- Motivate and bring new technology, innovation way of saving natural resources like water, power, controlling on air pollution etc. by ways of sustainable initiatives.

- Ensure to completion of abnormalities observed and reported in daily walk through across department.

- Ensure adherence to COVID precautions and guidelines issued by Management time to time and all safety precautions on the site and off the site.

- Ensure time bound action for closing out for audit (FPSA, SPSA, TPSA, internal and external Audits) findings before target date and compliance of all applicable RCN/BCN recommendations.

- Improvement of IMS & other systems & WCM (ABOF) sub-committee activities.

- Motivating employees to participate in all activities and conduct training on awareness creation. Carryout internal & external audits or assessment

- Assess digitalization opportunities for automation of processes to minimize manual intervention.
