Manager - Reinsurance - Facultative & Treaty - Techno Marketing
1. Treaty Reinsurance Business Procurement : Develop rapport with Indian and Foreign Insurers, Reinsurers & Brokers for procuring treaty business. Understand their current treaty portfolio, capacity requirements, any new protections required etc.
2. Develop Relations with Reinsurers : Identify Reinsurers, their contact, understand their appetite, for classes, areas. Develop personal rapport with the underwriters. Maintain record of their contact. Travel to their office wherever required.
3. Placement Management : Manage the placement process of Treaty reinsurance contracts, including submission, negotiation, and finalization of terms and conditions.
4. Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify opportunities for Treaty reinsurance placements and stay informed about market trends, pricing, and capacity.
5. Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Insurers, Reinsurers, Brokers, and other stakeholders to optimize placement outcomes and ensure alignment with company goals.
6. Risk Assessment: Maintain Rating update about Reinsurers, provide market updates to Insurers, Keeping updated about regulatory developments.
7. Policy Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry best practices throughout the Treaty reinsurance procurement and placement process.
8. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of Treaty reinsurance contracts, transactions, and communications, and prepare regular reports for senior management on placement activities and performance metrics.
Qualification requirements :
- Bachelor's degree, Business Administration. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., FIII, ACII, CPCU, ARM) is a plus.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in reinsurance procurement and placement, for Treaty Reinsurance.
- Fair knowledge of treaty contracts, types, and markets, with a proven track record of successful placements and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, ability to develop innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with reinsurance software and analytics tools is preferred.
