Project Description:

Company is developing a marketplace to sell cloud services, hardware, software and services. Development is already underway and it's a multi-year project. Consulting division is advising the Company on product design, strategy, roadmap, and development quality control.

Job Description

As a Lead Platform Architect, you will design and oversee develop of marketplace and all the related middleware and backend components. Reporting to the Director of the consulting division, you will work with project managers, graphic designers, Magento developers, QA professionals and client teams to deliver the very best in ecommerce and backend components. Responsibilities include:

- Designing a B2B e-commerce marketplace using Magento 2.0 along with all backend components such as order management engine, contract engine, billing engine, reconciliation engine, API connect (Mulesoft), DBMS (Mongo, MySQL), App Router (Node.js) etc-

- Leading multiple, concurrent development teams (3rd party development house)

- Facilitating requirement-gathering sessions with client teams, including C-levels and VP-levels

- Ensuring quality control processes are successfully employed

- Working with the VP of DevOps to manage environments and release quality solutions

- Estimating new project timelines, cost and resource needs

- Communicating progress, timelines and deliverables to client stakeholders

- Writing System Requirement Specifications (SRS) documents

- Leading teams of on- and off-shore development teams

- Working with project sponsors and developer teams to ensure solutions are delivered timely and on budget

- Integrating highly customized third-party solutions using a range of commerce technologies

Qualifications

- Prior experience in designing and developing large scale B2B or B2C e-commerce platform

- Must be good on architectural and technical leadership, with focus remaining on transformative power of cloud and IT strategy, on a global scale

- Must have the ability to transform the application strategy of customers though well-placed policies, design principles and direction aligning with their transforming business models

- Should have more than 10 years of experience in designing and architecting web scale, Internet and mobile applications

- 5+ years developing web applications using the LAMP stack

- 3+ years deploying sophisticated Magento Enterprise web applications (experience with other frameworks such as Drupal, Demandware, Hybris and/or OS Commerce is a plus)

- Must be proficient in applying design principles and practices that lead to repeatable, standardized and non-customized solutions for our customers

- Experience using Angular 2, PHP, MySQL and familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, SASS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery and other JS frameworks

- Must be experienced in harnessing the power of AWS and Azure cloud services

- Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices will be required

- Must have the ability to apply agile development principles during the development cycle (playing scrum master role from time to time)

- Excellent written, documentation, oral and presentation skills are a must. Must have the ability to engage in meaningful conversations with CXO level executives

- Exceptional, client-facing communication skills, including telephone and in-person presentations

- Consulting background is a plus

- Ability to adapt and pick up new technologies

Other Details:

- Full time role

- Will be hired under the consulting division

- Base location is Bangalore (India)

- Travel to Dubai on a regular basis for conducting requirements and design workshops, product launch, business enablement etc-
