Job Title : Assistant Manager- SAP CO

Job Location : Bangalore, India

Key Responsibilities

Technical Solution Delivery within Unilever Enterprise Solutions delivers large scale IT innovation projects across functions (Primarily Finance and Supply Chain). This team works closely with IT Business Partners and SMEs to ensure projects are delivered as per Unilever IT prescribed Global Project Delivery Methodology and Agile Global Project Delivery Methodology, on time in full and within budget.

Solution Delivery Manager is responsible for managing and aligning multiple stakeholders within Unilever IT across Analyse, Design, Build, Test and Deployment phases of a project cycle.

Accountabilities and responsibilities:

- Following are the verticals that a Solution Delivery Manager is responsible for:

- E2E IT solution delivery by collaborating with IT Business Partner, Functional SME and Vendor Partner

- On time in full delivery of all projects as per agreed design and solution quality

Vendor management :

- Managing and building relationships with vendors

- Drive capital efficiency within the project scope by getting the right vendor mix and applying solution reusability

- Resilience and Availability : Ensure resilience in innovation is delivered to provide service availability as per service levels

- Build Talent and Teams - Set up best in class vendor capability based out of Unilever Bangalore location

Vendor Management

- Engage with Vendor Partner to form project team.

- Hold vendors accountable for quality and timeliness of deliverables through governance mechanisms

- Ensure the right level of skills and knowledge exists within teams to be able to run project phases from Analyse to Go Live

- Partner with Suppliers to together deliver a World Class Project delivery Organization.

Drive cost efficiency in IT Innovation

- Drive RFP : Lead vendor selection and negotiation along with IT Business partner and IT Procurement

- Multi vendor : Enable vendor agnostic and process driven IT solution delivery environment to onboard skilled resources from multiple vendor partners

- Location Strategy : Drive the right mix of onshore and offshore resources as per business requirement to deliver cost efficiently

- Getting the pyramid right : Defining the right mix(experience) of resources for projects from vendor partners to arrive at target blend rates

Resilience and Availability

- Ensure that solution designed and developed is resilient and causes nil business disruption

- Ensure smooth deployment of innovation with minimum severity during PGLS

- Ensure Post Go Live issues are resolved within SLA agreed with business

- Manage transition to application support team to ensure zero service disruption

Build Talent and Teams

- Deliver against the Unilever IT agenda to build and retain functional and technical knowledge in house and within the vendor setup created

Process and Technology knowledge required:

- Business Processes:

Record to Report Process knowledge

- Main Associated Technologies / Applications (current view):

Expertise in SAP Controlling

Knowledge of SAP FI

Essential:

- Has extensive previous experience at Indian or MNC organisations with captive IT setups or large IT service organisations, managing IT projects in the ERP space.

- Experience in managing large-scale global programs.

- Sound understanding of relevant business processes - Finance and Controlling - and the way it affects the business.

- Functional Expertise in SAP Controlling

- Knowledge of areas such as software development lifecycle, IT strategy, IT process excellence, six sigma, IT portfolio management, ERP packages, Agile

- Is familiar with different aspects of Project management, Application Support & Maintenance and IT infrastructure and networks overview.

- Appreciation of basic technical aspects involved in IT application development.

- Shows a good understanding of commercial aspects

- Displays good inter-personal skills at all levels of contact and in a wide variety of situations.

- Demonstrates the ability to make, and take responsibility for, sound and far reaching decisions on major project related issue

- Has the experience and cultural awareness required to work effectively with a global team.

Desirable:

- May have a postgraduate qualification such as an MSc, MBA, or other business or scientific qualification

- Relevant professional certification (PMP, Prince2, ITIL, CSM, etc)
