An Associate Vice President shall be spearheading the Project/ Deal / Investor Relations/ Business Development. This position allows work on a variety of deals from structured finance, project finance, M&A, and Equity fundraising to capital markets deals across sectors and on complete deal life cycles of live deals both Indian and international. Along with this, the roles build one up to handle deal execution independently in the future.
(a) Responsibilities - AVP- Client Coverage
Client Coverage (Primary)
1. Client origination,
2. Relationship building,
3. Dealing with Promoters/Directors or equivalent C level executives of the corporate
4. Business Development and Mandate
Functions in Deal Execution (Sub- Function)
1. Co-ordination with the Transaction Execution team and be the part of the execution team as and when required.
2. Hand holding with the team members for the deal execution strategy
3. Proposal preparation
4. Lenders/Investors hand holding along with Execution Team
5. Deal Closure , Client followup and updation
Client Coordination (primary)
1. Lead client coordination for information requirement and closure
2. Update / followups/ hand holding in negotiation/ client participations
3. Demonstrate strength and experience in client requester relationship while gathering information / knowledge from client
Banker's/Investor Coordination ( sub function)
1. Handholding with Deal Execution Team for the support
2. Coordinate meetings if needed
3. Handholding the Due Diligence and Information process with Big4, Legal, Valuation, Investors team
Quality & Timelines Management
1. Review and verify the documents prepared by Analysts/ Associates and ensure quality of outgoing documents
2. Ensure project timelines are met
Team Supervision
1. Managing the team of 4-6 people
2. Getting the project/ deal executed with the team
3. Team development and training
(b) Responsibilities - AVP - Project Execution:-
Investor Management (Primary)
1. Identifying and maintaining the Investors/Lenders relationship and making this as a routine function
2. Identifying investor/lender investment rationale and placing the suitable proposals/deals/ projection with the aim of deal closure.
Deal Execution (primary)
1. Getting the proposal prepared from the team and structuring as per the requirement of the client viz a viz meeting investors rationale.
2. Quality control on the proposal execution
3. Investors/Lenders query/information redressal
4. Term Sheet/Negotiation/Deal Closure
Client Coordination (Sub Function)
1. Co-ordinating with Client Coverage Team
2. Handholding in Term Sheet/Negotiation/Investors query redressal.
3. Coordinate meetings if needed
4. Handholding the Due Diligence and Information process with Big4, Legal, Valuation, Investors team
Quality & Timelines Management

Experience
1. 10 years of overall experience
2. At least 5-7 years of experience in Investment banking/5-7 years in similar domain in Banks/ FI/Fund House
3. Must have experience of client coordination
4. Must have Investor Co-ordination experience
5. Must have managed the Project Team/Vertical/or have headed a similar vertical.
Education
MBA or CFA or CA/MFA
