A. Audit Manager
Job Description:
The Audit Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the audit process for our clients in the UK. The successful candidate will have a strong background in auditing, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members in a virtual and live environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee remote audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting, in accordance with auditing standards
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and serve as the main point of contact for audit-related matters
- Supervise and mentor audit staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Ensure that audit work is completed within budgeted time
- Review and analyze financial statements and audit reports for accuracy and completeness
- Identify and communicate audit issues to clients and provide recommendations for improvement
- Stay up-to-date with changes in UK accounting and auditing standards and ensure that the audit team is informed and trained accordingly
- Participate in business development activities and assist in the preparation of proposals for new clients
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce
- Professional accounting qualification mandatory (e.g. ACA, ACCA)
- At least 6-7 years of experience in auditing out of which 2-3 years minimum is required in UK Audits
- Strong knowledge of UK auditing standards and procedures
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with experience in managing teams of at least 5-7 people
- Ability to manage multiple remote engagements and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with audit softwares such as CCH -PCAS, Mercia , My workpapers and Caseware & Caseware Idea
