About the role : - Presently Udaan is live across three categories - Food/FMCG, Clothing and Electronics, Pharma. - We are looking at not only deepening our presence in them but also add other categories. In the business development role, one is expected to solution to simplify trade for businesses and make Udaan the default platform for B2B trade in India. What you will do : - Responsible for managing the entire P&L for Pharma business of that region - Hiring and managing teams of exceptional calibre in that region. - Acquiring and growing demand from all type of portfolios within that region. - Working closely with supply chain team and problem solve with them to ensure all ops metrics remain on track. - Working closely with supply chain to figure out the right network design for that region - Making the credit strategy for that city and implementing it. - Building and managing various teams including supply, demand, buying, quality etc. - Figuring out the right vendor mix and building a robust procurement team to negotiate best prices. - Opening and managing collection centres to procure direct from farms - Building and managing a strong sales team to generate demand We are looking for you, if you are: - A simple thinker.
