Udaan - Lead - Planning & Analytics - Pharma

Purpose :

The Planning & Analytics Lead is responsible for the planning and analytics activities that enable the growth of the generics business. Specifically, the person is responsible to provide data-driven insights and business intuition to several teams in the category - the partnerships team on optimal collaboration with partners, the commercial team on sales approach and incentives and the demand planning team on assortment. The Lead will jointly own business goals with the Manager, Generics who will be responsible for execution against the plans. In the longer term, the Planning & Analytics Lead will work closely with the Generics Manager to grow the generics business for udaan.

Key Responsibilities :

As the Planning & Analytics Lead, you will:

- Assess udaan's market share potential by sizing the market for generics and OTC products.

- Undertake quarterly and annual plans for the generics business working closely with the Commercial team and Business Finance team.

- Drive insights into optimal assortment (selection) by assessing past sales, evaluating external data, and forecasting demand based on market inputs.

- Co-Develop plans with the Partnerships team to size the total business opportunity with Partner Brands.

- Coordinate with supply chain to ensure vendor fill rates and In-stocks are maintained with minimal working capital.

- Set overall business metrics for the Generics business and track progress against execution - undertake business reviews on a periodic basis.

- Provide critical business insights that will drive strategic choices.

What we look for in a candidate :

- Problem solving skillset : Ability to solve for business problems using multiple sources of information.

- Strong capabilities in data analytics : Proficiency in SQL & Excel. Knowledge of Python, R, Google data studio preferred.

- Planning skills : Facility in creating short and long-term business plans that capture nuances in the P&L and balance sheet.

- Business intuition : Facility to tie data-backed insights to implications for the business and make corresponding recommendations.

- Entrepreneurial : Passion to work in a fast-paced start-up environment. The role requires the individual to learn and execute at a rapid pace.

- Collaborative skills : Ability to work closely and coordinate with internal and external teams to create success. Ability to seamlessly navigate relationship dynamics in a high growth, young, agile business environment.

Preferred qualifications and experience :

- Education background in engineering / data sciences / statistics / sciences

- 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience in Business Finance / Financial Planning / Data Analytics roles either in FMCG/ OTC / Gx / e-Commerce Pharma domain
