Udaan - Operations Research Lead

What you will do :

1. Optimize the Udaan network topology, transportation and fulfilment networks and inventory placement, and deliver shipments to our customers in the fastest time with the highest reliability at the lowest cost.

2. Optimize shipment flows through managing, scheduling, and routing line haul trucks

3. Build transportation optimization models with focus on volume and route planning and re-planning; labor and facilities planning

4. Optimal vehicle routing with time windows for deliveries and pickups, and dynamic rerouting to cope with disruptions

5. Model, simulate and optimize warehouse inventory placement, throughput, space and labor requirements in the network

What You'll Need :

1. Ph.D. in Operations Research, Transportation Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field OR Masters Degree plus 7-10 years of industry experience

2. Minimum four (4) years of industry experience in supply chain or transportation operations

3. Experience developing optimization models for business decisions

4. Experience building optimization models with optimizers like CPLEX,Gurobi, X-PPRESS
