Job Purpose : This role will lead all demand planning duties including estimating future product demand, analyzing inventory flow, and developing forecast models to ensure that the business operations are timely, efficient and cost-effective. S/He will consolidate forecasts from the sales team, validate forecasts against historical trends, and refine forecasts with inputs from category teams and business leaders. Key Responsibilities : - Monitor and communicate forecasts, changes, inventory estimates, supply situations, business risks and opportunities across all warehouses on periodic basis, mitigation plans to vendors & clients. Identify areas of alert and create solutions to mitigate any potential risks of product stock outs - Analyze, track and highlight the performance of defined category/SKUs with focus on filling each DC/RDC. Developing country level deployment plan which meets anticipated customer demand at optimum inventory levels. Take joint responsibility with warehousing teams for inventory accountability across regional DCs - Ability to create rolling forecasting & future projections and is able estimate future product demand by analyzing inventory flow and developing forecast models - Ability to work independently to construct complex statistical models to forecast business performance - Manage new product rollout through forecasting and interfacing with category teams - Identify and analyze sales trends and influencing variables and incorporate analysis in forecasting & inventory planning - Partner with vendors, sourcing and other planners to identify and reconcile gaps and supply shortages, providing an early warning system for issues identification - Co-ordinate with the concerned Procurement teams regarding any category updates in the demand management processes, analyze and highlight gaps in the forecast - Complete ownership of Inventory Planning, MRP function in the organization and manages a team of Planners - Provide planning inputs for phase in/ phase out plans in consultation with vendors, clients and internal teams - Proactive coordination with key clients and external stakeholders to achieve desired business outcomes and drive improvements and reduce wastages across the Demand planning activities Functional & Competencies : - Collaborative skills : The role requires the incumbent to work closely and coordinate with the internal and external teams to create success. S/he should be able to seamlessly navigate these relationship dynamics in a high growth, young and agile business environment - Design Thinking : The role requires the incumbent to incorporate a range of design thinking strategies to effectively integrate human-centric structured, creative approach to problem solving that leads to innovative solutions - Data driven / analytical : The role requires the individual to be comfortable in processing and analyzing volume of multiple data streams to enable meeting company targets. Qualifications and Experience : - MBA with 8 to 10 years of relevant work experience in progressive new age Pharma / FMCG / E-commerce companies
