General Merchandise is one of the three lines of business for Udaan in the non-food space. It consists of the following categories: 1. Home &amp; Kitchen (Kitchen appliances, cookware, plastic products, cleaning implements, kitchen tools, metal utensils) 2. Toys and baby-care and cycles 3. Luggage and backpacks 4. Sports equipment Demand Head for General Merchandise (similar to a National Sales Manager position) would drive growth for entire General Merchandize pan India. The demand head would need to work with following cross-functional teams: 1. On ground demand execution team - team which manages feet-on-street (sales people) for demand generation across non foods 2. Central demand team - non foods demand team at central level 3. Category supply teams - who are responsible for get selection, pricing and brands onto the platform 4. Credit team - which enables credit for buyers 5. Financial Planning &amp; Analytics - team which enables planning and insight generation The role will be reporting with the Business Head for General Merchandize and will also closely work with the Demand Head for the Non-Foods business. KRAs: 1. Delivering business growth - Drive Business growth through new customer acquisition and wallet share gain 2. Prioritization across different parts of the portfolio - Defining which categories/product&nbsp;verticals needs to be prioritized across different geographies 3. Share feedback on supply requirements/strategy - Working with supply team to ensure right selection and pricing is available for each state/customer type 4. GTM design - Reviewing existing Go-To-Market and making changes to increase productivity, range billing and success of focus brands 5. Channel programs - Defining and driving large customer / wholesale programs, outlet profile based decision making 6. Driving enablers - Working with cross-functional teams (e.g. credit, logistics, returns) to ensure right enablers and improve buyer experience 7. Developing and managing talent - developing right talent for General Merchandize in each cluster (Category Cluster Managers) as well as in central team (Category development managers) Experience Required : - 12-14 Years post MBA experience from tier 1 B-schools - Min 8-10 years sales experience with top FMCG companies - Exceptional track record and career growth - Experience of working in organizations with wide product portfolios
