What You will Do :
- Based out of our India HQ in Gurgaon and report to our Legal Director for India.
- Work closely with our India and global team as well as our public policy and business teams on disputes, regulatory and litigation matters.
- Provide strategic and proactive legal advice to internal business groups.
- Understand, interpret and apply current regulations as applicable to Uber.
- Ensure legal risk is managed in accordance with Uber's appetite and applicable regulatory framework.
- Provide other legal support as may be required to support Uber in India.
What You Are :
- 7+ years of post-qualification experience, ideally in the disputes and litigation department at a top tier firm or with leading litigation practitioners.
- Candidates with experience in practicing before District Courts, High Courts or the Supreme Court of India are preferred.
- Strong academic credentials and law degree from a top law school.
- Qualified to practice law in India.
- Substantive knowledge and expertise in regulatory matters gained in private practice.
- Excellent negotiating and drafting skills with the ability to run projects independently.
- Excellent business judgement, communication and interpersonal skills - native level English is required.
- Interested in expanding the scope of your practice to other areas of law,
