Uber - Legal Counsel - Company Secretary

What You'll Do :

- Report to our Legal Director for India and work closely with our APAC and global legal and compliance team.

- Provide strategic and proactive legal advice to internal business group.

- Ensure legal entities are in compliance of corporate laws; maintain, prepare and file necessary documents, registers, reports & returns as required under the new Companies Act, 2013 (- Companies Act- ); and handle other statutory acts, rules & regulations including preparation of notices, resolutions and extracts.

- Coordinate filing of relevant documents and make applications for various licenses under applicable laws.

- Understand, interpret and apply current regulations as applicable to Uber.

- Ensure legal risk is managed in accordance with Uber's appetite and regulatory framework.

- Negotiate and draft unique commercial agreements from start to finish with our partners.

- Provide other legal support as may be required to support Uber in APAC.

What You Are :

- 4+ years of post qualification experience as a company secretary and legal counsel, with in-house experience with a dynamic and energetic company

- Strong academic credentials

- Qualified in BOTH CS and to practice law in India

- Substantive knowledge and expertise as an in house company secretary and counsel with a multinational company

- Excellent commercial negotiating and drafting skills with the ability to run projects independently

- Excellent business judgment, communication and interpersonal skills - native level English is required

- Interested in expanding the scope of your practice to other areas.
