About the Role


As a lead investigator assigned to the Global Investigations Team, you will investigate a wide array of serious allegations of wrongdoing by Uber employees as well as external parties attempting to defraud Uber. Not only will you be responsible for obtaining the necessary evidence to substantiate the allegations, but you will also be required to present the evidence in a manner which can be easily understood by internal and external stakeholders, including law enforcement.

What You'll do:

- Investigate complex threats against the business globally, providing high-quality work product quickly

- Work closely with and guide technical investigators who have the requisite skills to obtain digital evidence

- Utilize your previous experience to build solid cases that can be referred to law enforcement

- Conduct targeted investigations on highest priority matters impacting Uber and its community

- Produce concise yet thorough case reports for internal and external stakeholders

- Explain highly technical findings in lay terms to various stakeholders, including law enforcement

- Find creative ways to identify those who pose a threat to Uber

- Work in a collaborative environment supporting numerous stakeholders

What You'll Need:

- 12+ years of experience conducting and managing complex criminal investigations

- Significant experience investigating fraud and financial crime with a national or state-level law enforcement agency

- Experience conducting investigations in a corporate setting would be desirable

- Demonstrated ability to conduct proactive and reactive investigations

- Excellent liaison and collaboration skills

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience conducting investigative interviews

- Demonstrated ability to work with little guidance

- Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload according to established priorities

- Ability to work flexible hours under pressure

- Willingness to travel internationally if required, potentially with short notice
