Position: Sr. Manager - EHS

Education:

- Graduate/Post Graduate Chemical/Mechanical/ Electrical/ Environmental Engineer from a reputed institution. Qualifications in Industrial Safety will be added advantage.

Industry Exposure: Consumer Goods / Alco-Bev / Beverages/Pharma (Preferably from MNC)

Language: Knowledge of English, Hindi & other local laguages essential

Desired Candidate Profile

Passionate and well experienced in Environment, Safety and Health related matters, statutes, codes & standards and procedures, preferably in a process industry.

Job Description:

Should have sound knowledge and experience in the following areas:

- EHS related statutory compliances, State Pollution Control Boards rules, Ministry of Environment & Forest and Chief Inspector of factories acts & rules etc.

- Implementation of ISO 14000 and OHSAS 18000 management systems.

- Effluent Treatment Plants and technologies, Air pollution control equipment, Rain water harvesting systems and other water conservation techniques.

- CDM opportunities identification, project registrations, carbon foot printing, renewable energy opportunities etc.

- Conducting EHS audits of plants, pre-start up safety audit, preparation of audit reports & timely monitoring progress of corrective actions.

- HAZOP studies, EHS risk assessment, Job Safety Analysis

- Instituting a Safe work permit system, Safe Operating Procedures, etc.

- Constituting EHS committees, EHS suggestion schemes, site EHS promotional programs to raise awareness amongst employees.

- Identification of EHS training needs and to develop and conduct training programs.

- Investigation, reporting and root cause analysis of EHS accidents and suggest corrective and preventive actions.

- Developing EHS Emergency Preparedness Plan and conducting mock drills.
