Key purpose of the role:

- Product gap & Need Identification

- New Product planning & introduction

- Product Life Cycle management

- Rationalization of SKUs

Key Performance Area:

- New product development at each category

- Product profitability

- Share of Market at Category level

Key responsibilities:

- Determines the future products of the company by understanding customers' needs and desires.

- Understands the research needed to obtain relevant market/consumer information to develop future products and conducts such research.

- Works with Sales team, R&D and finance to bring consumer needs to product fruition.

- Prepare pricing structure and develop return on investment plan and timeline for all new products

- Develop time bound plans for new product testing, product commercialization and production in co-ordination with relevant teams.

- Work with Marcom to disseminate product USPs, create integrated communication plan and ensure proper launch of the products.

- Assess product sales and plan for obsolescence of existing products while keeping replacements ready.

- Assesses success of new products using market data by calling on customers with field salespeople and evaluating sales results.

- Leads the product through its entire lifecycle, from conception to refurbishment to retirement.

- Assesses competition by comparing the company's product portfolio to competitors' product portfolio.

MBA from Tier 1 or Tier 2 B-School

2 to 5 years from Trye Industry in similar role as product management
