Turtlemint - Senior Manager/Manager - Taxation - CA

We are looking for a Manager / Senior Manager to join the Taxation team - specifically in charge of monthly direct and indirect tax compliances, handling of tax notices and assessments. The candidate should also be responsible for the taxation related matters / queries with respect to statutory audit. We expect that the role of the person, depending on prior experience will expand quickly.

Job Role & Responsibility:

Direct Tax:

- Monthly preparation and filing of TDS returns

- Application of lower TDS certificate

- Quarterly TDS return filing (24Q and 26Q) - Preparation of Income tax computation for Statutory audit

- Tax audit report

- Transfer Pricing Audit

- Filing of Income tax returns

- Responding to IT queries and assessments

- Following up for IT refunds

- Reconciliation of TDS ledgers balances

- Equalization levy compliances

- Foreign remittance and DTAA compliances

- UAE taxation related compliances

Indirect Tax:

- Monthly preparation and filing of GST returns

- Tracking of GST on Advances received

- GSTR 2A vs 3B

- GST registrations in various states

- Updation of core fields as an when required

- Responding to GST queries

- Import & Export registration

- Reconciliation of GST ledgers balances

- GST Annual returns

Others:

- Keeping updated with various direct and indirect taxation related amendments

- Carrying out monthly general ledger scrutiny / analysis / zeroization of critical accounts

- Ensure accurate and timely filling of returns and no adverse fillings at the time due diligence

- Play a role in setting up systems and processes for the company including ERP implementation from a taxation perspective

- Strong communication skills with confidence in communicating / collaborating with the stakeholders

Key Requirements:

- CA with post-qualification experience of 7+ years

- Deep understanding of direct and indirect taxation

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with background in Insurance industry / BFSI Self-starter and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

- Working under pressure and in an unstructured environment
