Job Purpose : - The Manager - AR / Collections plays a critical role to aggressively pursue and collect the outstanding receivables from the B2B clients. He/she is responsible to ensure the integrity of the Accounts Receivable base, and convert the receivables to cash according to payment terms. - The person will be responsible to lead a team of 15+ members across the entire collections value chain covering credit approval, billing, client communication and reconciliation. Principal Accountabilities : - Manage the entire AR portfolio of the company - Ensure that the receivables goal is met each month - Monitor and control the entire collections value chain as described above JOB CONTENT : - Lead and motivate a team of smart collection professionals - Regularly track and review the progress of collections with team members across regions - Problem solve for any operational or technical issue by liaising with respective stakeholders like collections team members, sales, reservations and tech team - Conduct weekly regional reviews with sales and collections team members and proactively identify issues and contain them at the earliest - Work with billing and tech team and represent the business in continuous product enhancements to support sales and collections requirements - Monitor payment promises and follow up closely on any deadline breaches. - Review and match payments received against invoices for Cash Application Team to offset - Ensure that any reconciliation issues are resolved in a timely manner to avoid disruption in collections timelines - Prepare, review and closely monitor the ageing report to proactively identify any significant deviations - Constantly lookout for any process breaches and work towards fixing them with multiple stakeholders Qualifications : - Bachelor in Finance/Business Experience : 7 to 8 years experience in credit management and collection COMPETENCIES : - Excellent team management skills - Person should be a big motivator for getting things done - Excellent communication skills; sends clear and effective messages - Good English; written and spoken - Proficient in MS office, Words, Excel - Flair for numbers and details - Ability to work under pressure and handle difficult situations - Respects deadlines and has a sense of urgency - Comfortable to work under ambiguity - Ability to manage expectations of multiple stakeholders in the process PERSONALITY TRAITS : - Motivated and driven to achieve targets - Analytical and meticulous - Self-disciplined and independent - Tolerant to stress - Good interpersonal skills; seek internal and external cooperation - Thrive under ambiguity and defines his own charter Job Location : Bangalore
