Objective of the Role - The person in the role will lead the Supply Chain practice. He/she will responsible for building and operating a world class Supply Chain Analytics Center of Excellence.

This role will have 5 keys facets :

a. Managing Day to Day Operations (20%)

b. Business Development & Sales (20%)

c. Managing delivery and developing solutions (30%)

d. Building Capabilities and Assets (15%)

e. Ensure customer satisfaction through - Thought Partnerships- (5%)

f. People - Training & Development (10%)

ACCOUNTABLITIES :

1. Leading and managing the day-to-day operations - includes managing a team of managers, senior managers; added responsibility of recruiting, selecting, retaining, and training professional personnel and supervising and evaluating their work performance

a. Leading and directing a team of 20+ managerial and professional individuals with specialized skills in Supply Chain, manufacturing, analytics and data science to deliver project deliverables for accounts such as Wal-Mart, Ecolab, Unilever, Michaels and few other Fortune 500 clients across US and EU region

b. Planning and managing the day-to-day operations of the team in terms of resource requirement and personnel composition

c. Being responsible for hiring, firing, retaining, promoting and mentoring professional subordinates (including Business Analysts, Supply chain Consultants, Managers and Senior Managers) to address the Company's growing requirements and customer base;

d. Planning, delegating, communicating and controlling work assignments and special projects of team members;

e. Assigning projects and specific tasks to team members and supervising the subordinate staff's work to ensure that the tasks are completed in a timely and effective manner;

f. Reviewing and overseeing work assignments of subordinates, conducting performance reviews, and carrying out appropriate discussions for personal growth and development;

g. Tracking personnel competence and expertise within the team by conducting periodic performance evaluations to ensure that current company policies and rules are being followed;

h. Determining significant changes in the responsibilities and goals of subordinate team members by reviewing their job responsibilities on a regular basis;

i. Training, developing, and motivating subordinates to improve performance;

j. Conducting staff requirement analysis across existing and new projects to initiate recruitment of new employees across delivery roles to ensure timely and effective solution deliverables;

k. Conducting monthly pit stop discussions with team members and communicating feedback and expectations with respect to the goals set;

l. Evaluating and recommending employees with exceptional KRAs (Key Result Areas) for promotion and accelerated growth programs. Part of the leadership team that makes decisions on cross-organization promotions and yearly appraisals

m. Identify and drive process improvements and operational efficiencies to drive efficiencies

2. Lead areas of practice work delivery: managing project delivery and delivery expectation for Tredence customers

a. Leading and driving multiple large-scale supply chain and manufacturing analytics and technology solutions projects and deliverables by overseeing the entire project life-cycle

b. Planning resources, creating appropriate team structures and assigning responsibilities for smooth project delivery; including project governance mechanisms between client and Tredence, Onsite and Offshore for Tredence and with Leadership

c. Creating and aligning specialized supply chain digital, analytics and process solution for clients; aligning the client on solution design and ensuring any ambiguity regarding the path to be taken is resolved amicably and doesn- t hinder project progress;

d. Monitoring and tracking progress of the projects by conducting timely project audits with the project team

e. Providing weekly status updates and highlighting potential risks for on-going projects to key stakeholders

f. Driving the project requirements, budget, resources, timelines, tasks, analytical tools and major objectives to be achieved;

g. Providing oversight, direction, mentorship and support to team to ensure that the deliverables meet the project specifications and requirements;

h. Driving profitability by monitoring project costs and margins based on negotiated consulting rates for different projects;

i. Tracking project milestones and alerting the team when delivery issues are raised by clients and guiding the team in resolving critical issues;

j. Working with senior leadership and customer stakeholders at a senior executive level in establishing strategic plans and objectives for project deliverables;

k. Handling any client escalation in a timely manner and resolving it in a way that is amicable to both client and Tredence

l. Providing insights to on-going projects as a Supply Chain Subject Matter expert, based on past experience and knowledge

m. Identifying project related risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, and making recommendations to management;

n. Exploring and identifying avenues for creating automation tools / solutions that can enable delivery teams to complete daily tasks more efficiently; and

o. Working closely alongside the Leaders (CxO, VP and similar people) at the client end and also working with other Leaders with in Tredence.

p. Using the range of Tredence methodologies, processes and - Accelerators- to ensure delivery quality and speed

q. Contribute actively new delivery best practices as they develop for cross company consumption

r. Developing and refine Tredence's approach through these engagements, contributing to the continuous iteration of Tredence's products, and to his/her own development as a practitioner.

3. Win new business (business development): Provide pre-sales support and guidance to onsite team leads to drive growth from new and existing initiatives and developing and driving growth strategies

a. Will have clear Financial goals (Revenue & Margin) and will be assessed based on financial achievements. Drive strategies to achieve practice- financial performance

b. To bring in new revenue for Tredence from new or existing clients (proactively or in response to tender opportunities)

c. Identifying relevant areas of opportunity for industries and client, by encouraging team managers to conduct exploratory analysis on clients- businesses, internal brainstorming, internal knowledge repositories & cross-project learnings to propose new projects and grow existing accounts;

d. Devising and executing strategies for increasing customer engagements and improving client relationships;

e. Providing pre-sales and operational support and directing the sales teams in responding to queries raised by prospective customers;

f. Working closely with the sales and CS teams to proactively look at sales funnel, track opportunities across the funnel, identify obstacles and help with de-bottlenecking for driving sales

g. Acting as a thought leader and Supply Chain SME in engaging CXO level clients in various pre-sales conversation

h. Outlining industry trends and best practices and aligning with customer goals and defining business priorities for clients by leading communications with senior level business stakeholders;

i. Collaborating with sales and consulting teams and interdisciplinary delivery teams to identify innovative solutions to be delivered to other supply chain clients;

j. Creating multiple POV's and POC's aligning to the current industry trends in the Supply Chain industry and build end-to-end solutions enabling consumption driven last mile adoption by the clients;

k. Winning business clientele by building lasting client partnerships and industry level peer partnerships.

4. Produce thought leadership and associated products/solutions (organizational development)

a. The HoP will be expected to contribute meaningfully to the intellectual output of Tredence and translate theory into practice (and vice versa).

b. Use existing knowledge and that gathered from Tredence practice work to write a range of publications (blogs, articles, reports, manuals) that push the boundaries of Supply Chain thinking & application of analytics to solve cutting edge supply chain problems

c. Showcase our work and act as a marketing device for Tredence's advanced analytics capabilities.

d. Developing this thinking through attending events and building relationships and networks outside of Tredence's practice.

e. Identify the right opportunities to build long-term and fruitful partnerships - with events, with other companies and organizations, with right forums to help showcase the and share the cutting-edge supply chain analytics work

5. Developing practice area(s) :

a. Developing and expanding areas of practice across functions/sub-functions and capabilities.

b. Developing expertise as an intellectual leader in this space. Take a view across projects and across the company to be able to help create synergies between them.

c. Laying out the tenets for the practice and clearly state the guard-rails & Values for running the practice on a day to day in line with the companies values

6. Collaborative team member :

a. Support other team members to develop their skills, acting and supporting the line management activities of the executive directors taking on line management roles as they arise.

b. Play an active role in team meetings, development days, operational and strategic planning and the Leadership meetings.

c. Is an intrinsic part of the leadership team of Tredence and will attend and contribute during all strategy/development meetings

d. Strong people manager, will drive the culture of curiosity and learning values within the practice among the team members

e. Will be expected to be an enthusiastic learner, and to be proactive in seeking out the support

and leadership needed (and entitled to) from his/her line manager and the executive team.

7. Manage relationships :

a. Will act in accordance with Tredence vision and values, and act as an Ambassador for Tredence in all that (s)he does to develop and widen the Tredence network

b. Manage relationships to enhance impact, brand and identify new business areas.

c. Building meaningful relationships with colleagues, partners, clients and within the wider sector is a critical determinant of success for Tredence.

8. Training and Development :

a. Will help create and drive a structured program of training and development, which should be aligned to the practice area in focus.

b. Will ensure Training & Development for the Supply Chain Team, as well as for the larger organization.

c. Help set clear and objective learning goals for the team and sets a high bar for the team

d. Will take joint responsibility with the Leadership team for the sharing and dissemination of new skills, capabilities and innovative practice developed through this training within the team, and across the range of Tredence's projects and products.
