Job Purpose:

The Treasurer is responsible for managing the Digital Bank's liquidity, funding and investment activities. The Treasurer ensures that the Digital Bank's has sufficient funds to meet its financial obligations, manages the Digital Bank's interest rate risk and maximizes investment returns in accordance with the Digital Bank's risk appetite and investment policy.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement the Digital Bank's liquidity management strategy, ensuring that the Digital Bank has sufficient liquidity to meet its financial obligations and regulatory requirements.

- Manage the Digital Bank's funding activities, including issuing debt securities, managing deposit levels and maintaining relationships with key funding counterparties.

- Monitor and manage the Digital Bank's interest rate risk, ensuring that the Digital Bank's exposure to interest rate movements is within acceptable limits.

- Ensure the Asset Liability Management of Digital Bank is properly monitored and maintained within the regulatory and internal risk limits.

- Develop and implement the Digital Bank's investment strategy, ensuring that the Y9's investments are consistent with its risk appetite and investment policy.

- Monitor and analyze financial markets and economic conditions to identify investment opportunities and risks.

- Develop and maintain relationships with external investment managers and counterparties.

- Prepare and present reports on the Digital Bank's liquidity, funding and investment activities to the ALCO and Senior Management.

- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards and best practices related to liquidity, funding and investment management.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

- At least 7 years of experience in treasury, funding and investment management in a financial institution, with a proven track record of success.

- Excellent knowledge of financial markets, financial instruments and investment strategies.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise advice and guidance on complex treasury, funding and investment management issues.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of treasury professionals.

- Professional certification in treasury, funding or investment management is desirable.
