Dynamics of the Role

We are looking for a great communicator to join the Corporate Communications team of TransUnion supporting the GIC, Chennai. The ideal candidate is a charismatic Communication Consultant to help our team tell our strategic story creatively and effectively across multiple platforms for different audiences. How You Will Contribute : 

- Help define and implement corporate communications programs that build TU GIC's reputation

- Recommend strategy, develop compelling content and ensure optimal delivery. Deliverable may include email messages, presentations, website content, articles, video, talking points, Q&A, social media, digital signage, media statements and more

- Work alongside our senior leadership team to develop key presentations. You will utilize your expertise to turn a - technical- presentation into a story for all audiences.

- Use your technical chops to help create exciting, engaging collateral, which includes updates, projects, strategies and initiatives to various audiences using a variety of platforms (creativity welcome here!)

- Work with cross-functional teams across TransUnion to address communication requests and opportunities, providing input and/or deliverable regarding strategic approach, messaging and tactical execution. Key relationships include colleagues representing PMO, Marketing, Internal communications, Design, Social media, HR, Leadership, Legal, and more

- Work closely with the Work groups established at GIC in formulation and execution of various employee engagement initiatives at the Center

- Lead the event management efforts for GIC in line with our corporate guidelines

- Work as a sounding body to cross functional teams in GIC adhering to the corporate communication standards of TransUnion

- Prepare reports and presentations that communicate communication effectiveness

- Leverage the outside agencies wherever required for effective delivery of the communication strategy for GIC

- Support the broader corporate communications team by periodically helping colleagues with projects related to executive communication, public affairs and corporate social responsibility initiatives. Examples might include developing a presentation for a leader or writing content for Newsletter, or posting in LinkedIn or a Work group report

- Perform other related duties as assigned

What You Will Bring : 

- Bachelor's degree/PG in journalism, communications, English, or related field

- A minimum of 5-7 years relevant professional experience, preferably at a PR agency or in a corporate communications setting

- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with significant writing experience

- Expertise in executing and measuring the success of strategic communications plans; experience developing plans

- Experience partnering with Sr. Leadership to drive towards a common communication goal

- The ability to form strong, collaborative working relationships with colleagues at all levels and external stakeholders

- Extremely good prioritization and organization skills

- Creativity, flexibility and initiative

- A high degree of diplomacy and discretion

- Domestic and/or international travel may be required
