The key objective of this team is to build out the next generation analytics products that allow our clients to make better decisions. - The ideal candidate would drive the research and analysis of various facets of the consumer and commercial lending market with a focus on understanding the complex market dynamics surrounding the sector. A key part of the job is to evaluate these market dynamics and their impact on customer needs, and translate these insights into actionable strategies and revenue-generating solution sets. - The potential candidate would need to have strong analytical skillsets, financial acumen, demonstrable consulting skills, confidence, and tenacity & drive to succeed, as well as an engaging customer orientated personality. What you will bring: - Passion for pushing cutting-edge research to the limit in production environments - Able to work in a fast-paced, high energy, and dynamic work environment creating state of art models that impact hundreds of millions of people - Strong analytical, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills - 1-7 years of hands-on professional experience using machine learning and data science, deep learning approaches, building statistical models, attributes, decision trees, segmentation schemes, benchmarking reports, monitoring services and/or other quantitative solutions - Advanced degree in Statistics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Operations research, Engineering, Economics or another quantitative discipline We would love to see: - Strong proficiency in R and Python. Hive/Pig experience a plus - Analytics experience in credit risk preferred. - Machine learning experience a plus Impact you will make: - You will design and write programs for data extraction, segmentation and statistical analysis on large population datasets using languages such as R, SAS, SQL, Hive, and Pig on Linux, PC, and mainframe computing platforms. - You will research and develop new analytical solutions, test new data sources for predictive lift and monitor the performance of solutions to drive value for the company and its clients. - You will develop attributes for different vertical and/or business problems by aggregating the individual data elements at consumer level - You will perform R&D on innovative analytic methodologies, products and data sources. - You will communicate results & recommendations, and produce technical documentation of R&D projects. - You will foster a high performance culture and cultivate an environment that promotes excellence and reflects the TransUnion
