Dynamics of the Role : The QA Manager II is a dynamic leader who performs multi-disciplinary functions relating to the quality and development of TransUnion software applications, architecture reviews and special projects. This role is primarily responsible for managing the quality of the application development efforts within TransUnion's custom software development organization and assisting us in determining our long term technology strategy. Roles & Responsibilities : He/She will be responsible for : - In-charge of managing a set of testing teams and defining QA processes/tools for TU CIBIL/<other region=""> - Presenting an aggregate view of Quality Assurances metrics to the senior management to take informed decision on software projects - Personal support, mentoring, and professional development for testers - Ensuring the teams (Scrum Teams) implement and follow best practices to prevent defects - Be an advocate of QA throughout the organization - Establishes the environments and tools required to prevent and detect software defects. - Establishes quality standards and procedures to be employed throughout software development projects, works on one more standards that help in building software quality guidelines and implementation strategies. These include ISO 9000 and capability maturity model CMM. - Monitors and assesses QA and Test team performance - Creates and grows QA and Test teams through hiring and training. Qualification & Experience : - Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience - Overall 8-12 years, Experience as a tester for at least 5 years in previous organizations - Should have worked as part of Agile Projects - Budgeting or forecasting for testing as a service dependent on organizational process - Should have automation experience - Must understand the architecture and design of computer programs to evaluate them Essential Competencies : - People management : ability to train, grow, attract and retain top talent - Teamwork; success in building strong relationships in an Agile environment - Continuous Improvement; relentless focus on implementing organizational, process or technology enhancements - Demonstrates complex problem solving skills and the ability to come up with quick and creative solutions - Possesses strong attention to detail - Solid written and verbal communication skills </other>
