Transport Manager - (Repairs & Maintenance)

Job Purpose:

- To see Overall unit vehicles maintenance of hi-loaders, other Company vehicles & update new technologies.

Job Description:

- Direct the budgeting process for Transport Capital expenditure & repairs.

- Develop systems and procedures that ensure proper running and maintenance of all vehicles.

- Plan & execute preventive maintenance of vehicles and upkeep of transport services.

- Monitor fuel & energy consumption and design methods for conservation and optimization of energy.

- Ensure that all the transport maintenance activities / systems adhere to the standards / efficiency / productivity levels that have been set for the unit.

- Maintain the vehicles through regular inspection as per a Daily/Weekly and Monthly Plan.

- Liaise with government agencies to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

- To plan the procurement and replacement of the vehicles as per business requirements.

Knowledge/Skills:

- Systematic knowledge of modern mechanical techniques.

- Product knowledge

Education & Experience:

- B E/ B Tech ( M or Automobile) with 5-7 years of experience Or Diploma In Mech Engg/ Automobile Engg with 15 years

- Experience 15 years experience in large workshop / service station servicing Heavy Commercial Vehicles

- Experience in Inventory management & Budgeting will be an added plus..
