About the Team: Our Non Agri Research team tracks the respective commodity market trends & industry developments across value chain, including supply and demand trends global trade. Analysts also conduct data collection, model updating/development and analysis of supply/demand and costs for commodities.

RESEARCH HEAD KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Team Leadership :

- This position will be heading group of fundamental analysts directly and should work closely with the technical analyst's team.

- Weekly team meetings

- Balanced work allocations to the team members

- Monthly client project progress review with respect to the set objective and accordingly guide the team

- Ensure team members have individual performance plans

- Monitor team performance and conduct regular appraisals

Client Relationship Management :

- Prime responsibility is engaging, servicing and retaining the clients.

- Conducting client training on functional aspects

- Handhold the clients' procurement, hedging and trading decisions.

- Generating the commodity price outlook and formulating the procurement, hedging and trading strategies based on the clients' requirements.

- Presenting the commodity research reports to clients over web or in-person

- Participating joint meetings with client's and cross-functional teams

- Travel globally based on the company / project / client needs

Business Responsibilities :

- Initiatives to enhance the productivity of the team and profitability of the vertical.

- Responsible for retaining the revenues, payment realization from clients and work with sales team in building the new business.

- Aim for delivering 90% directional accuracy (Budgeting accuracy), 2% procurement efficiency and 85% trading accuracy.

Research Responsibilities :

- Play a critical role in delivering the consulting services of the 'Non-Agri vertical' that comprises of various asset classes such as base metals, industry / precious metals, rear earth metals, crude oil, polymers, petrochemicals, paper, currency and economy.

- Practicing the internal price forecasting approach called "Mapping the Market Thought" (MTMT) to determine the short, medium and long term price outlook

- Implement maker-checker concept to ensure the quality of research reports

- Improving the depth of research and quality of content in reports on regular basis

- Planning the field / industry trips to improvise the market intelligence network

- Bringing new research methodologies and research initiatives competing with internal performance awards such as "Best Research Innovation", "Best Processing Innovations", "Best Project", etc

- Ensuring developing and maintaining research database

- Executing one-time business consulting projects related to demand, market size, trade / value chain opportunities in metals, oil and gas sector

- Monitoring the report delivery schedules, manage any pitfalls and reporting on any deviations

- Conducting daily meetings with fundamental, technical and statistical analysts to drive the research

ROLE REQUIREMENT/DESIRED PROFILE :

- Need a highly self-motivated, team player and result oriented professional with long term vision of enhancing the core competencies for a world class consulting services delivery.

- Strong understanding of commodity markets including futures, options, swaps and exotics.

- Independent call taking capability.

- Team Management Experience

- Experience on similar roles at any Consulting firms, Research organizations, Funds, Banks, Commodity boards, Industry boards, etc.

- Experience in serving FMCG, Automobile, Auto ancillary, EPC, Construction, Oil& Gas, OMC, etc.

- Excellent written, speaking and presentation skills.

- Good track record of achieving the variable pay / incentives.

- Networking capabilities with industry experts

- Experience in handling global client fraternity.

- Must have strong acumen in analytics and ability in handholding the clients' procurement, hedging and trading decisions.
