TranQ - Cofounder - Product - Pharma Startup - IIM/ISB

WHAT'S ON OFFER:

Cofounder role at a pharma startup - TranQ - on 100% equitable, full-partnership basis. A chance to work with a highly motivated and professional co-founding team from IIT/IIM background with significant experience in management consulting / investments / startups, and together build an organization from scratch. Most importantly, an opportunity to disrupt one of the most traditional sectors in India, playing on inherent inefficiencies and "fat-buildup"; building an economically-sustainable as well as scale-able business model.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is a Co-founder & CXO role; as a part of co-founder team you shall contribute towards overall business strategy formulation and execution. You shall individually lead end-to-end product management (product selection, portfolio design, vendor negotiations, on-boarding and procurement) and hence own the product basket and accordingly setup the procurement engine while being a stickler to quality and compliance. Operations, including logistics and supply chain, shall report to you depending on your experience and background, You shall hold the pen on sector knowledge and product strategy.

ABOUT THE COMPANY:

TranQ aims to be a diversified generic pharmaceutical company catering to both domestic and export demand across retail and institutional segments. We shall differentiate ourselves on sales & marketing, bypassing the traditional MR-based doctor-focused sales models, by leveraging vast pharma vendor base advantage of India, generic nature of domestic market, fast growth in chronic segments, institutional demand and select export pockets, and technology as key enabler for differentiated delivery model. This is not an online pharmacy venture.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

You must have a track record of leadership and excellence throughout your professional career. You must have spent 5+ years working in the Indian pharma sector, and be well-experienced in pharma product portfolio management, procurement plus related business development and quality assurance. You should have an oversight (and not necessarily directly performed) into other functional areas in pharma sector as well.

You must have the requisite improvisation and soft skills, go-getter attitude and ownership mindset critical for a startup and be able to sustain yourself without any remuneration in the initial period till the company builds requisite scale or attracts external funding. An MBA from reputed b-schools (IIM/ISB) is a definite advantage, but if you fall short on this criterion and strongly feel you fit the bill otherwise, you are welcome to get in touch with us.
