Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Qualified accountant with strong accounting and balance sheet management experience - Prior experience in corporation tax practices and accounting - Understanding of IFRS standards - Business minded orientated is a plus - Demonstrable numeracy Skills - Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information - Microsoft Office proficient - Income tax knowledge Work Experience: 3-5 years Key Responsibilities General Accounting - Is in charge on all the daily accounting matters including posting journals, posting accruals, reviewing depreciation, ensuring clearing of account is done - Ensure bank account reconciliation and allocation are done - Prepare financial reports such as: Balance Sheet, Account Consolidation, T tables, Consolidation of Tangible and Intangible Review and maintain Assets Debtor and Creditor lists. - Keep control of such legal books and records of accounts as: General Ledger, Sales Records, Purchases Records, Inventory, Annual affixing of the required tax stamps to books. Tax - Accounting, Reporting &amp; Working Capital - Schedule monthly tax payments, VAT (with the monthly sales and purchases records), Income Tax withholdings, payments on account, and payment of the annual determination of the amount to be paid. Weekly tax distribution. - Accurately review the monthly tax computations &amp; ensure HFM validation as per agreed deadline in respect of monthly tax reporting of all the operating entities. - Ensure correct monthly accounting of VAT &amp; other taxes in local accounts (including tax provisions, WHT, petroleum tax levies, etc) in countries and provide feedback to regional tax team on the necessary reconciliations. - Reconcile the monthly tax balances as per HFM with statement of accounts from the Revenue Authorities. - Provide monthly feedback report explaining all material indirect tax movements in the tax balances for all your entities to regional tax for monthly tax receivables reporting. - Ensure that accurate and timely annual filing of CIT returns (including the periodic provisional tax filings) for all the entities in the EAF countries (including the dormant entities if relevant) is done and ensure that the true up analysis post tax flings is done and reconciled in the next month's tax reporting for each entity. - Ensure that accurate and timely monthly filing of VAT returns and other tax returns (WHT, petroleum tax, local taxes) for the EAF entities (including the dormant entities if relevant). Audit Review - Support independent audits; provide all necessary information for compliance on deadlines. Work closely with independent auditors during and preparing schedules for the annual audit. Revise the computation of employment termination payments. - Preparation of the Annual Financial Report including financial statements, notes, supporting schedules, transmittal letter and statistical information.
