Job Summary:
- Plan, development & implement current / new business as well as sales and marketing activities in order retention growth and profitability
- Identify new business opportunities by developing existing and new business accounts.
- Determining the overall Sales & Marketing Strategy for Ocean product Development in INDIA to maximize profitability and growth.
- Ensure that RFQs / Tenders are submitted with the assistance with OPS team for global tender team for successful conversion of potential business.
- To jointly work with the OPS team in developing core Trade lanes and Vertical markets within the multinational customer segment.
- Identifying key/major growth sectors in the region
- Develop financial supporting data and process data to potential and existing business wins.
- Focus on all lines of business including major Verticals and preferred Sectors development.
- Client analysis on gross margin, volume, and profitability.
- To ensure receivable management is under control and increase cash flow
- Compilation of budget plans and managing them effectively and efficiently.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop new business for the company through approaching new & existing business customers.
- Responsible for the management and handling of the RFQ response for all the enquiries.
- Maintain MIS of all accounts and new business approaches with their outcomes in the weekly MIS report.
- Maintain close working relationships with the Customer Service, Operations and Contract Logistics team.
- Focus on winning and keeping profitable business.
- Report & Maintain the business projection & financial forecasting for potential business planning.
- Undertake cross selling and up selling within existing customer base to further develop account potential through airfreight, sea freight, road freight, value added products and contract logistics.
- Manage and coordinate all commercial activities of defined vertical group of customers with the customer service team, in line with the company's short and long term results & targets.
- Represents the company and its policies to the clients which are defined as Strategic Accounts.
-To develop SOPs for strategic accounts to detail all processes, rate structure which would be needed for capturing of customer identified KPIs.
- Undertake sales presentations to customers and business communities to present to the company and its products and services.
- Responsible for AR management.
Skills and Competencies:
- Functional knowledge in either Shipping / Imports & Exports or Logistics
- Decent knowledge of local market and established customer contacts
- Should have relative strength in selling Import /Export Sea Freight of captive business and own accounts
- Good negotiating skills, planning & Organizational skills
- Seasoned Business Professional
- Diplomatic skills to be used in front of the customers
- Confidence in undertaking presentations to vast number of people
- Analytic skills to review both financial and operational data.

Experience:
8-10 years of experience in Ocean freight forwarding/logistics industry with proven track record in sales and vendor development.
Education: MBA
