Analyst - Master Data Management Primary Job Function : - Responsible for the setup and management of master data that is consumed by the company globally, including the implementation and maintenance of processes and controls required to guarantee master data quality. - A primary responsibility will be to support implementation of the new Informatica Master Data Management (MDM) platform and play an important role in understanding function requirements associated with Master Data required for the rollout of our global Trading platform. - This will require the applicant to manage various concurrent tasks, perform data quality analysis, cleansing and collaborate within the business and IT teams. The role will develop into a Subject Matter Expert (SME) possessing a strong understanding of the new MDM platform encompassing all business, functional and technology requirements. Key Responsibilities : - Work with various operations and accounting departments to understand master data requirements - Understand data structure, data interfaces and how data flows and transforms from source systems to the downstream systems - Act as a SME for any master data related questions and coordinate with IT and Business for the various system implementations - Assist in data management, including performing Create/Read/Update/Delete responsibilities for master data - Partner with the Data Officer to implement rules, policies and controls to ensure master data is complete, consistent and accurate - Design Data quality issues to identify areas for data quality improvement and execute action plans to resolve issues - Implement process controls & improvements for prevention of data quality issues and integrity across key systems - Develop measurements to track key performance indicators associated with master data volume, quality, conformity to formats and completeness in order to facilitate periodic data quality reviews - Follow up with data owners/users to remediate data issues in order to maintain the agreed levels of quality Job Requirements : - Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting, finance, business administration, information systems or equivalent - Understanding of Master Data Management and Data Governance as it relates to operations, accounting, master data hierarchies, attribute definitions, etc. - Minimum 3 years of relevant experience - Experience in Enterprise Data Management platforms such as Informatica MDM (preferred), Golden Source, Markit EDM, etc. - Highly proficient Personal Computer skills and technology driven, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of SQL or PL SQL is required - Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated commitment to teamwork and partnerships - Oil and gas/commodity trading business vocabulary or working knowledge of functions such as Trading operations, Compliance, and Accounting preferred - Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving and analytical abilities
