Job Location: Muscat Oman (Only apply if you are open to relocation) Industry: Retail Category Experience: F&V Job Objective: A Retail Trading Specialist is responsible for sourcing, developing and introducing product ranges that suit the stores and customer base. Must have exposure to Store Operations and understanding FMCG and F&V. Job Role: - Overall responsible for End to End business viability of Produce category (Top line and Bottom line ) - Managing operation of large retail network for fruit and vegetable products - Creating process to scale up operations from scratch - Work closely with Commercial Head, Business Head and Area Executive in supply chain management , Procurement ,Marketing and Merchandising - Exploring market and collating market intelligence for developing strategies and new format development - Able to conceptualize different models as per location and geographies - Sustainable vendor development with a strategic view on increasing customer spent and volume - Making category flow and store planogram - Formulate effective pricing and promotion strategy based on market needs and format requirement. - Maximizing the profit potential for all stores, by analyzing inventory risks and opportunities, and implementing inventory allocation strategies to increase profit margins. - Planning, Promotion & Replenishment to optimize value chain and ensure appropriate stock availability - Keeping an eye on the fill rates of top selling SKU periodically. - Examine promotion details and resolve any pricing discrepancies Education and Experience : - Post Graduate in Retail Operations - 7-8 years of experience as a Buyer for Fruits & Vegetables category and must have handled Business Volume of USD 2 Million/Annum Specialized Skills/ Requirements : - Strong oral and written communication skills - Must be excellent in MS Excel and Presentation - Ability to work independently - 70 % travelling and 30 % Home Office - Knowledge and Experience in Planning, Negotiation, Sourcing in F and V - Critical thinking and Problem Solving skills
