Trader/Researcher - US Natural Gas (5-10 yrs)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Natural Gas Trader to join our dynamic team. As a Natural Gas Trader, you will be responsible for executing trades, analyzing market trends, and developing strategies to maximize profitability in the US natural gas market. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the US natural gas industry, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment.

Responsibilities :

1. Market Analysis : Conduct thorough analysis of the US natural gas market, staying abreast of market trends, geopolitical events, and other factors influencing prices.

2. Risk Management : Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate market risks. Monitor and manage risk exposure to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

3. Trade Execution : Execute buy and sell orders in the natural gas market, utilizing a variety of trading instruments. Ensure timely and accurate execution of trades while optimizing profitability.

4. Develop Trading Strategies : Formulate and implement trading strategies based on market analysis and risk assessments. Continuously refine strategies to adapt to changing market conditions.

5. Collaboration : Work closely with other trading team members, analysts, and relevant stakeholders to share insights and contribute to the overall success of the trading desk.

6. Compliance : Stay informed about regulatory changes and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing natural gas trading activities.

7. Reporting : Generate and analyze reports on trading activities, P&L, and other relevant metrics. Provide regular updates to management on performance and market conditions.

8. Relationship Management : Build and maintain relationships with key counterparts, brokers, and other market participants to facilitate efficient trading operations.

Qualifications and Competencies :

1. Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

2. Proven experience as a Natural Gas Trader, preferably in the US market.

3. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a deep understanding of financial markets and trading strategies.

4. Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities.

5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

6. Experience with trading platforms and risk management systems.

7. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

8. Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements in the natural gas trading industry.

9. Demonstrated track record of success in trading and risk management.

10. Certifications such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Financial Risk Manager (FRM) are a plus.
