Roles & Responsibilities :

- The in-house Counsel will spearhead overall legal support to the company, and work with internal teams to define the risk and suggest appropriate measures to comply with regulatory and legal requirement of the Company.

Legal Controller :

- Create a strategic legal compliance framework according to the business requirements and ensure legal compliance across board

- Providing legal support and guidance/ assistance to business teams and timely implementation of various legal procedures

- Liaise with the external counsels as and when required

- Draft/ review all company policies in accordance with the applicable law and business suitability

- Respond and advice the business relating to inquiries on contractual obligations

- Support company on dispute resolutions and litigations, recovery matters, notices, etc

Commercial :

- Draft/ review/ negotiate all commercial contracts for the organization including customer contracts

- Implement best practices to safeguard company's interest

- Implement standard documents - NDAs, MOUs, Contracts and agreements

- Designing, Negotiation, drafting and review of transaction documents

Regulatory :

- Provide front line support on legal matters related to regulatory bodies - SEBI, RBI, ROC and regional bodies

- Provide an initial view on legal requirements for different geographies for various business requirements

IP :

- Copy Right, Trade Mark & Patent Registration and Advisory

- Time to time review of exposures of company's IP and implementing a framework to highlight any non-compliance

- Implement safeguard mechanisms, agreements, contracts to protect the IP of the company

- Assist business to ensure compliance and proper usage of third party IP

- Advice and support on legal matters related to safeguarding of business interests and assets

Please apply if you have :

- Law graduation from a top Tier schools

- At least 10 years of experience in Tier 1 Law Firms and corporate set up with reputed companies in a decision-making role

- Working knowledge of the Indian regulatory framework - SEBI, FEMA and RBI regulations is essential

- A collaborative and flexible style, with a strong service mentality. A team player, a hands-on manager with integrity and a desire to work in a dynamic, merit oriented environment and an effective communicator, with strong oral and written skills.

- Willingness to re-locate to Bangalore
