Team Lead for Pharma Analytics & Reporting

Our Client:

Our client is an analytics firm, working in a unique environment as partners to one of the biggest global pharmaceutical firm. They started off 3 years ago with a team of 25 people working on strategic forecasting. They have since then, expanded with newer projects like demand forecasting, secondary analytics and reporting and are recruiting for the same.

Desired Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals who love working with numbers and are excited by the prospect of solving complex problems. While a love of numbers is a must, grasping the story behind the numbers or telling a story through the numbers, is what our analysts aim for. The way we assess candidates would necessitate demonstrating an existing competency or an ability to learn quickly.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Pharmacy/ Statistics/ preferably with MBA degree from a reputed institution

- 5-6 years’ experience in pharma domain / forecasting / data analytics / analytics reporting/ management dashboards. Experience in the pharmaceuticals will be valuable and preferable.

- Ability to run analyses in Microsoft Excel - can manipulate data in Microsoft Excel to produce meaningful analyses

- Technical skills like VBA / SQL / SAS is preferable

Job description

- Prepare data for use in the analytics model (by data cleanup, making & validating assumptions, data synthesis from various reports, Secondary research on the internet)

- Develop the analytics model and test it (e.g. designing an Excel spreadsheet model, creating functionality, deciding components and data flow, getting code ready, improving usability, testing)

- Generate analytical reports / slide decks / management dashboards

- Quality control through self, peer & PM review

- Communicate in person or over email/VC/Teleconference with clients, PMs and other analysts to share progress updates, clarify doubts, answer queries & plan future steps.

- Partner client in clarifying project needs and how to best meet them
