Building an effective range plan for all stores - Planning the merchandise assortment for all the new stores for the category - Responsible for existing stores assortment Inventory Management - Responsible for achieving the desired stock turn - Work towards improving the sell thru of the products introduced Replenishment - Responsible for periodic replenishment to stores based on the range requirement and sales New Orders - Responsible for releasing the new orders on a periodic basis while keeping a check on the overall inventory in the system Pricing - Responsible for achieving the desired margin for the Category - Arriving at a pricing methodology most suitable for the category - Building multiple factors Source / Availability / Competition etc. into pricing - Understanding the costing of the products New product introduction - Coming up with the new product introduction plan - Classifying the new product as Core / Refreshers / Gaps - Understanding the consumer needs and market development and build it into new product introduction - Managing the collection planning - Brief to stock in stores Managing the Aged Stock - Tracking the aging of the stock - Designing the markdown to maximize the liquidation - Keeping a check on discount payout - Shuffling the stock between locations / changing the display / creating a promotion idea in order to build excitement - BTL / digital etc to reduce the aging of the stock Managing trunk show stocks - Planning the merchandise for all the upcoming trunk shows - Managing the movement of the stock across locations Rationalization of the products based on profitability and sales - Tracking the sales and margins on a continuous basis and weeding out the non performing products / clusters / fabric /price bands etc Ideal Candidate : - Category experience of 4-5 years min in the apparel / ethnic wear industry - Knowledge about fabric and craft is preferred - Need to have strong hold on Category management principles - Textile education background is preferred
