Scope of the role:
- Managing the Girls Bags category across product management, visual merchandising & communication.
Job Profile:
Product Management:
- Driving the New Product Development process as per the brand design calendar
- Managing the product range-width & developing it across different clusters for guys & girls.
- Product costing & pricing
- Cluster Management: Display of clusters, tracking retail sales and stocks of clusters
- Tracking consumer needs & changing consumer preferences and accordingly changing mix
- Product availability - supply at national level against plan & sales forecast - collaboratively with SCM team. Distribution strategy for new products
- Driving & Managing the Visual merchandising at stores for these categories
- Liasoning with internal (design, sourcing) & external agencies (vendor, CFAs, Supply chain) to deliver collections to the market
- Assisting the marketing head on brand level initiatives
Key Deliverables:
- Delivering product collections as per calendar
- Ensuring product gross margins for respective product clusters
- Retail sales figures as per target
- Aligning product, VM etc with brand identity
- Ensuring appropriate product mix availability to markets
The right person:
- Graduate in any discipline with MBA marketing
- 6-7 years experience in (sales & marketing) in the lifestyle or consumer goods industry.
- Must have prior experience of product management within the bags category - understanding of material, costs, design will be an added advantage
- An ideas person
- Should like to travel into markets & work closely with sales team / retailers in the field.
- Attitudinal fit with the youth category/brand & enthusiasm & drive - experience in this segment will an added advantage
- Good communication skills
