Role Summary :

Equitace Capital (BCCL) is the strategic Value Creation and Exit Monetization vehicle for Brand Capital's Investment portfolio. The Investment / Exit Management role will require review and management of the investment portfolio of BCCL which includes 150 Unlisted Cos and 75 Listed Cos.

- He /She would be required to work on analyzing performance of portfolio companies on a regular basis and identifying opportunities for the next level of growth. Work as Sell side I Banker.

- This shall involve Identifying, Developing and Executing on a plan for generating optimal returns from portfolio through strategic sale (M&A), Primary and Secondary sales to PE/ VC funds, Family Offices & HNIs.

- This in turn will require an inherent interest in tracking PE/ VC / early stage investments besides being well networked with and having first hand contacts with active PE/ VC Funds and HNIs / Angel Investors.

- Candidates with prior experience in sell side transactions, M&A and execution of bulk deals with identified institutions/ fund houses would be preferred.

Job Description :

Investment Management role :

- Review and manage the investment portfolio of BCCL. Identify and develop a plan for generating optimal returns from portfolio through strategic sale, Primary and Secondary sale.

- Assist BD on new deal pipeline. Monitor the performance and liquidity of portfolio on an ongoing basis; represent enterprise and institutional functions of Brand Capital; minimize organizational obligations and risks through enterprise risk management operatives and directive; coordinate third party valuation exercise for unlisted portfolio; recommend standards and checks for the Internal Committee (IC) process with the objective of optimizing return on liquation of assets made by Brand Capital.

Exit Management :

- Manage portfolio management database, develop multiple exit strategies and policies along with multiple tools and techniques for various class of assets in order to optimize return on BCCL's portfolio

Pre - Investment Committee Process :

- Recommend standards and checks for the Pre - IC process, prepare an intelligent database and repository of IC decisions and progress made by teams on a national basis in order to leverage learning's from the past for course correction and optimizing BCCL's Brand Capital macro decisions.

Provisioning :

- Plan and coordinate the implementation of activities for valuation of unlisted portfolio by 3rd party, decide on provisioning to be made using latest qualitative and quantitative inputs, carry out other special initiatives as required in order to give the correct reflection of provisions to be made for Brand Capital by BCCL.

Equity Deal Mandates :

- Develop exit mandates for BCCL portfolio stake - develop and execute deals in Strategic stake sale, primary and secondary stake deals. Plan and maintain the custody of original agreements, security papers and important papers and subsequently subject them to periodic physical audit in order to provide safe and easy central access to above documents.

Ideal Candidate :

Education : MBA (Finance) from a premier institute/ CA and CS (Proficiency in Cos Act and SEBI Guidelines)

Experience : 4-8 years

- Ideally from an I Bank /Big 4, primary experience should be in Corporate Finance / Investment banking

- Thorough MS Office Skills - Excel and Power point

- Dynamic Personality, Excellent Communication, and Confident in dealing with Promoters, PE/VC Funds, Established Business houses

- Experience building valuation models, identifying and sourcing deals, leading transactions
