The Times Group has recently setup an office in Redwood City, which works with early stage start-ups in Silicon Valley to bridge the route to Indian markets, thereby helping international businesses meet the aspirational Indian consumer. We are now adding to our team with the addition of a Manager, Business Development to be part of and ensure Brand Capital's continued growth.

If you love working in the start-up space especially growing businesses through client partnerships and strategic relationships then we want to talk to you!

Manager, Business Development will :

- Work closely with the AVP to develop overall business development strategies.

- Identify potential client partnerships by leveraging existing network, ongoing network development and online research.

- Qualify potential client partnerships through excellent rapport and a consultative approach.

- Follow up on business leads and develop RFP responses.

- Develop customized, client-focused presentations and present to key decision makers.

- Manage numerous leads, contacts, resources keeping accurate notes and following-up in a timely manner.

- Stay current on Silicon Valley ventures, identifying new business resources.

- Form strategic relationships within the market to align with business goals and objectives.

- Engage the AVP in a timely manner to ensure consistent, professional outreach efforts.

- Contribute to the overall strategy and direction of the company.

Qualifications :

- MBA in business administration, Finance or Marketing.

- Previous internships, work or consulting experience in lead generation or business development.

- Previous experience within a venture capital or private equity firm preferred.

- Demonstrated success winning new business.

- A proven track record of meeting/exceeding business objectives.

- Experience working with senior level management.

- Previous experience creating customized, creative presentations (PowerPoint, Keynote).

- An existing network and involvement within the Silicon Valley market.

- Ability to discern applicable business needs and form strategic partnerships.

- Extremely professional, polished, communication style both verbal and written.

- Understanding and interest in overall strategic business operations and how all the pieces come together.

- Demonstrated leadership qualities.

- Creative problem solver.

- Sense of urgency, initiative and motivation thrives in an entrepreneurial environment.
