Mergers & Acquisitions - Chief Manager/AGM - Times Group
Role :
- Review and understand different businesses (not necessarily in media) based on research reports
- Review financial statements and understand different businesses
- Prepare and review valuations, based on different methods
- Prepare Business Plans (including financial model/valuation)
- Make presentations and present to all relevant stakeholders
- Undertake commercial negotiations based on understanding of the business and our needs
- Review transaction documents (NDA, MOU, TS, SSA, SPA, SHA, TMLA, other operational agreements), including to ensure all - what if situations are covered (we generally work with lawyers for drafting)
- Supervise and review legal and financial due diligence (we generally work with external consultants for actual due diligence)
- Manage the project
- Prepare/review MIS and track performance
- Interpret data/metrics in performance of business
- Use and create contacts to source information/deals/people etc
Qualification & Experience :
- MBA or CA with above average academic performance and subsequently having over 10 years of experience
- Post MBA/CA experience in any of the following areas: investment banking, corporate business development or M&A
- Experience in consumer (B2C) service industries (media, telecommunications, etc) will be an advantage
- Skill set to include strong quantitative abilities, keen strategic analysis acumen and competence in using quantitative analysis tools
- Good communication skills
Growth :
- This is a long-term position with growth opportunities within the M&A team in the initial years
- The Group is huge and there may be possible lateral opportunities within, based on performance and aptitude
