Brand Manager - Times of India Brand About Times of India Brand Function: The Brand team is the key driver of the business in TOI. The team helps conceptualize, monitor and manage the business road map for TOI. This team has four distinct functions or KRAs to help to maximise Revenue, build strong Brand affinity and create Profitable growth: A. Business Strategy: The team is responsible for market analysis and consumer understanding to put together a growth roadmap for the brand. This team is responsible for analysing the MIS data and providing timely and actionable data that helps in planning and managing the business. B. Product Development: The team works closely with the Editorial team across the country to ensure the product is aligned to business and brand objectives. The team is responsible for smooth implementation of the changes in product as per the business objectives- the presentation, the editorial coverage etc. C. Conceptualise IPs: The team conceptualizes, develops and executes IPs that can add to top-line and bottom-line of the brand and drive consumer connect. The team together with the Revenue team would be pitching the IP to the clients / partners, and driving brand integrations. The team is also responsible for media planning/partnerships, communication development, multi-city event management, PR strategy etc. D. Brand management: The team is responsible for building a stronger brand connect with the audience through campaigns, events and partnerships including new media. Work closely with the Times Internet Ltd. to drive social integrations and digital outreach of the brand including the IPs and brand events. Lead the media buying for key campaigns and brand initiatives, across all cities. About the Position: The role is critical to develop a strong brand and profitable business for TOI across India. The role will need interactions across multiple stakeholders - internal teams and external partners - to deliver on the KRAs. The person should be able to manage multiple projects with a diverse set of execution agencies. Execute Brand IPs - Responsible for the brand extension into monetizable IPs - medium to large formats. - Conceptualise and develop IP formats and concept presentations - Work closely with event management agencies to conceptualise and execute brand activities. - Monitor execution of assigned projects and ensure prompt delivery in relation to overall marketing schedule Product Development - Identify growth opportunities in relation to new products based on market environment, company business priorities and sound consumer insights. - Monitor competitive activities, brand health and brand share. Propose action to defend against competitive initiatives. - Act as a business manager for the assigned markets and identify opportunities to improve business performance on parameters like profitability and revenues Brand Management :&nbsp; - Assist the manager in developing brand communication with advertising agencies on assigned projects within assigned areas. - Drive the digital / social mandate of the brand to drive salience with the audience - Develop campaigns and lead the media deployment of the same - Monitor city by city brand activities and develop city level marketing campaigns and partnerships as needed - Work closely with media agencies, radio and outdoor partners to generate brand buzz and visibility Editorial Coordination:&nbsp; - Work closely with the editorial team to ensure that our product champions the brand values Third Party/Vendor Relationship Management :&nbsp; - Managing vendor relationships to ensure timely deliveries &amp; execution - Identifying vendors for campaign execution - Obtaining quotes for cost management &amp; quality control - Coordination with finance for vendor payments - Ensuring timely closure of payments &amp; process in SAP with all approvals Ideal Candidate: Specifically, the person should have: - Excellent execution ability across large events - managing working with multiple agencies - Considerable knowledge of managing medium to large format IPs - Ability for creative ideation on properties and brand initiatives - High process orientation with a focus on deadlines - Excellent communication and presentation skills - A sound knowledge of new media - digital and social media strategy -and partnerships - Ability to work effectively in cross functional teams - Ability and willingness to challenge the status quo to deliver long-term change and improvements - Aptitude to work with unstructured project briefs Education &amp; Work Experience: Post Graduation with progressive experience of 3-6 years in marketing and brand functions.
