About the position :
The incumbent will be responsible for buying, and spend management of Indirect Categories - like FMS/Security/Employee Transport/Contract staffing/Events and Exhibitions/Sales promotional items etc. for Bangalore Branch. The incumbent Source, negotiate and procure material for the category, facilitate development of new products/vendors in spend segment. Act as the point of contact for key operational issues and manage end user expectations.
Areas of Responsibility :
Vendor Negotiation & Engagement: Obtain necessary inputs from the technical user group; float request for quote (RFQs), carry out commercial discussions with vendors, benchmark techno-commercial requirements internally and externally; carry out price correction if required, seek necessary internal approvals; close terms and conditions with vendors; engage with potential vendors at regular intervals in order to maximize value creation for the organization.
Contract Management: Consolidate requirements for the annual negotiations; conduct the negotiation with vendors, consolidate spread across small business orders into large business chunks in order to maximize the value creation for organization.
Market benchmarking & Intelligence: Gather information on the market trends and current market price points; create information repository & share the latest insights with the management, use the market benchmarks of other large organizations in order to improve current price points.
Special Projects & Initiatives: Identify opportunities within BCCL for new initiatives, support Business & Commercial team for executing special projects based on requirement.
