Roles & Responsibilities of Business Development Manager (Aviation and may be exposure to Defense).
- Initiate contact with potential OEMs via business development calls, face-to-face meetings, referrals and networking.
- Identifying and understanding new leads and opportunities.
- Promoting products
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Performing follow up communication and taking opportunity to closure.
- Managing OEMs.
- Position Company's profile and present opportunity to the prospective OEMs.
- Attending meetings, training sessions and seminars .
- Maintain and develop existing OEMs relationships with regular phone calls and face-to- face meetings to ensure repeat business.
- Work as an integral part of a team, motivating one another and communicating effectively
- Providing feedback to Line Manager.
- Negotiating and securing proposal teaming arrangements, and working with OEMs on a regular basis.
Entry Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electronics and Communications); MBA preferred.
- Must be a proven self-starter with the need and resolve to succeed in a highly competitive market and environment.
- Background of five to eight proven successful years in sales or business development, particularly in the area of maintenance & the service industry with specifics in the aviation industry an advantage.
- Preferred candidate will possess knowledge of the Aviation Industry, particularly airport operations, equipment and facilities maintenance.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Computer skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Aviation technology understanding is preferred.
- Proven track record of interacting with key people in the aviation industry
