The Legal and Compliance Consultant will work closely with attorneys and others within the Real Estate Legal & Compliance team in New York and London. The Candidate will be trained at Blackstone's New York headquarters at the start of their employment.  Responsibilities:  The Legal and Compliance Consultant will be responsible for a variety of legal and compliance-related matters. More specifically, the Legal and Compliance Consultant will lead the following responsibilities:  - Manage and respond to requests for information from investors and other stakeholders (e.g. compliance certifications, due diligence questionnaires)  - Liaise with other Blackstone teams, including investor relations, finance and accounting, to complete responses to these requests  - Read and summarize information from various legal and compliance documents and collate reports for the team  - Stay up-to-date on developments in the industry (e.g. SEC releases) and provide the team with summaries  - Maintain and update internal documents (e.g. disclosures, lists of affiliates) and compliance logs  - Act as the RE L&C team lead/coordinator for expenses and invoicing approvals  - Organize and maintain the group's document depository system  - Participate in team meetings  Qualifications:   Prior work experience at law firm, in-house legal department of a financial institution, or other relevant organization is required.
