ROLE & TITLE: HR Business Partner- GGO India,

REPORTS TO: Head HR - India and Global Operation Centers

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

This incumbent will perform a critical leadership role and be a strategic business partner supporting all HR activities and initiatives within India. Responsibilities include driving successful implementation of leadership and organizational priorities including the development of talent and teams, continuously improving the positive engagement of the employees and increasing the company's leadership bench strength.

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

- Translate organizational business plans into HR strategic and operating plans, Partner with the business leaders, HR resources in developing and tracking execution of business unit Strategic HR Plans and ensuring robust alignment with business priorities.

- Focus on organizational planning, forecast manpower requirements, develop and implement career pathways for employees and succession planning to build strong leadership pipeline.

- As a member of the India leadership team, provide advice to sales/ functional leaders on building a compelling employee value proposition (EVP), working environment and organizational culture, which will attract and retain the best local, regional and global talent.

- Lead employee relations matters for India in a manner consistent with the company values, driving a culture of performance and accountability, while complying with local regulations and appropriately managing risk for the company.

- Work closely with compensation and benefits team on the current processes & policies supporting sales organization, review the incentive structure if required on the basis of pay for performance criteria. Align with the local rewards team to ensure that compensation and benefits remain competitive and are aligned with the global Reward philosophy; provide consultation to local leaders on reward issues consistent with our pay-for-performance philosophy.

- Deliver the HR aspects of organizational changes that arise from global business unit transformations, including organizational restructures, acquisitions/divestments, global workforce rebalancing; provide local HR business partnering support to leaders on local or regional organizational change projects.

- Lead Workforce Planning and Talent Management processes to identify and address competency, knowledge, and talent gaps. Areas of activities will include staffing, talent development and succession planning programs.

- Maintain knowledge of international HR policies, programs, laws and issues. Understand the differences of domestic and international policies and programs and coordinate the integration of all such programs. Continually assess the competitiveness of all programs and practices against the best-in-class industry standards.

- Perform HR-related acquisition due diligence and integration activities as a key member.

- Partner closely with other HR team such as Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, HR Operations and Reward to ensure effective HR service delivery against defined people priorities.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education, Experience, and Requirements:

- Business, HR, or relevant university degree.

- Significant experience as a senior HR leader, ideally on a global basis.

- Extensive exposure towards sales/commercial HRBP role, preferably within a large MNC.

- In depth understanding of the India region and its diverse cultures.

Knowledge and Skills

- Knowledge and experience in managing all aspects of strategic HR Business partner role- Organization design & development, talent acquisition, compensation, learning and development, organizational development and change, talent development.

- Should have demonstrated progressive leadership experience, ability to think strategically, build collaborative relationships with business leaders and organizational teams, and execute effectively on plans developed.

- Candidate should possess strong business acumen, organizational and strategic agility, highly accomplished interpersonal skills and demonstrate ability to maintain and grow the existing strong people culture and morale.

- Ability to build strong partnerships with business leaders, based on mutual trust, courageous and insightful advice, and consistent delivery

- Business acumen, with a commercial/pragmatic approach, and a demonstrated interest in the Financial Markets business preferably.

- Strong coaching, influencing and negotiating skills

- Ability to collaborate and work across a large, diverse, and matrixed organization

- Proven skills leading large scale multi-national organizational change

- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use HR metrics and insight to drive better people and organizational decisions

- Very strong delivery orientation, with ability to manage across multiple priorities to meet deadlines

- Resilience, with the ability to thrive within a challenging and fast-paced business environment
